Adding a 3" piece of dried kombu (a dried sea vegetable) will dramatically reduce any gas associated with eating cooked dried beans. Toss the kombu before serving. Enjoy!
My new favorite snack has become an 80 calorie yogurt with 1 TBS of grape nuts added. I fine it is best in the red or blue yogurts. (instead of lemon, lime etc.) The grape nuts have 33 calories, but it's much more satisfying than just yogurt.
