I use a Lemon Pepper grinder for pierogies and seasoning eggs. I used to use a little butter on the Pierogies but with the lemon pepper I find it provides enough flavor without the extra calories. Be sure to read the label however - I found one jar had salt added now I make sure it is only black pepper and dried lemon rind.
While the deep fryer heats to 375 degrees, scrub Idaho potatoes, then add to deep fryer & allow to cook until they float. You can allow to float for up to 5 minutes-no longer. Remove & serve as a baked potato with all the fixin's. These potatoes turned out fluffy & creamy on the inside.
I enter all my ingredients into a spreadsheet, multiplying ea. nutrient by the number of servings. (can of beans = 3.5 serv, so multiply info on label by 3.5.) I add up the totals & divide by the number of grams per serving, then enter that as a new food, adding the date to the name of the food.

Just be creative with substituting. I always use just egg whites. Applesauce for oil and the sugar (homemade with no add sugar) since the apples sweeten things enough. Shredded carrots in most cake and bars as they add moistness. I have found any recipe can be made healthy when substitutes used.
