Remembering Successes

Having one of those days? Stop and think back to a recent success. How did you feel? What was your level of motivation? Capture that mindset and keep pushing forward! emoticon

The Force of Habit Can be used to your advantage

Had a bad day? Bad weekend or blown your calorie limit for the whole week?

Feel like Giving up?

Remember this:

If these pitfalls didn't happen - you wouldn't learn from them. Every single time you slip up - pledge to yourself to get back to better eating from the next meal or next day - and forget the damage.

The more times you get back on track, the better you will feel and the easier it will become to stay and get back on track from any little hurdles you may face.

Self-talk

I have found that being gentle with myself when I've not been able to stick to my plan has been the most effective way to bring me back on track. I make sure I say kinder things to myself when I slip up. Harsher self-talk makes the slip-up last longer.

Every Sunday can be a new beginning

I use Sundays as ways to tweak my progress. I re-set goals in the teams I am a member of; get out of teams I feel are not working for me anymore; join teams I feel are more directly connected to my needs at that time; and so on.

You're still on your journey… Don't count yourself out!

Always keep the mindset of… "You can never gain too far from your goal that you can't return and lose it!"

Forget the Past!

To get back on track, just stop beating yourself up on how far off track you got. Start with one step in the right direction, like a healthy meal or 10 minutes of exercise and build on from there. Think of each day as a brand new day and keep going! Strive for progress not perfection! And be kind to yourself!

Just Get Back Up

When I stumble or even fall I always try to remember that failing is not falling but choosing to stay down. Sometimes it may take longer to get up but all that matters is that I get there.

It is all in the planning

I try to plan my week on Sunday. I figure out meals for the week, set my workout goals for the week, I like sweets so I let myself have a ww frozen treat each evening. It helps to get me back on track.
