Do you have a household or general life tip to share?
I keep a bowl of safety pins in the area where I take my socks off. I pin the two socks together and drop them in a net bag on the cloths hamper. One bag is for dark and one is for light. After the laundry is done, I fold them over with the pin and put them in the drawer. All matching is done.
WHEN I AM IN THE KITCHEN, AND COOKING, WHEN I AM JUST STANDING THERE, I POWER WALK IN PLACE FOR A FEW SHORT MINUTES. I FIND MYSELF DOING THIS AND FEEL GOOD IN MY MIND. I GUESS IT IS EXERCISE GONE WILD!!!!!!!!
When I don't have a housefull of dishes I wash them by hand ( burns calories) and while I am doing that I do squats, calf lifts and leg lifts, when I put them into the dishwasher to dry I do lunges. Getting in extra strength and calorie burning that way.
I found out baby wipes work for just about everything cleaning spills, stain in the carpet.....etc.
Baking Soda mixed with a little white vinegar makes a really good cleaner for removing caked on grease and other grime.
Lint rollers are great for cleaning lamp shades! It's also easier and quicker to use than going to the trouble of getting out the vacuum. Also, use them to pick up pet hair on the couch!
I am getting have back surgery in April. Remembering to take one day at a time and the month til surgery will pass quickly.
Eating breakfast every day helps me stay on track. I know that no matter what happens later in the day, I started the day out right.)
My husband is a junk food junkie so whenever he eats junk I crave them too. So, the other day he asked me to give him a bowl of Doritos, which I did, and then ate 4 chips myself before putting them back in the cupboard.
Then the 4 chips got logged as a snack for the day..
We have five recycling bins: plastic bags, paper, plastic bottles, glass, and cans. Plus I seem to have accumulated several cloth bags that I take shopping with me but if I should forget to take them, as mentioned previously, I recycle the plastic and paper bags, too.
