Alligator clips for instant baby bibs

Alligator clips (like electricians use) can be kept packed in a diaper bag to provide instant bibs for your baby. Just clip a paper napkin or a wash cloth to their clothing.
You can also thread cord thru the ends to create a set that looks like something your dentist uses.

Keep a small rag on floor in kitchen ready to clean up spills

I keep a small rag pushed out of sight on the kitchen floor. If a spill occurs, I can easily use my foot to snag it and clean up the spill while continuing to multitask. Saves time, no bending, no washing hands after.

Use your cleaning vinegar twice

My coffee maker needs to be descaled and it takes a large amount of white vinegar. I don't trash the vinegar, I re-use it first. A cup can be tossed into the dish washer as an additive. You can heat the vinegar and then soak a shower head in it to remove scaling. You can wrap a rag or paper towel around your bathroom faucets and pour on hot vinegar. Let it soak and the shine will come back.

Roll, don't fold fitted sheets -- also visually easy to find

I roll my fitted sheets rather than try to fold them neatly into a rectangle. That way when I need a flat sheet, I can see which ones are fitted easily and not unfold something I don't want to use.

Make your own mother yogurt starter

If you make your own yogurt, you probably spend a pretty piece of change on a yogurt starter that has to be replenished pretty quickly. Well you can make your own yogurt starter that will last at least a year from chili pepper stems.

Freshly ground peanuts won't separate for months.

I noticed when I bought freshly ground peanut butter at Whole Foods that it didn't separate at all. So I finally let a small bit sit and see how long it takes to separate -- 4 months. The moral of the story is to buy it freshly ground when possible. I've found cheaper places than Whole Foods. emoticon
