I always try to do just a little more than before... in everything. Examples: I used to brush my teeth leaning on the counter. One day, I made a conscious decision to remain standing upright, the next day I started moving my feet while I brushed. Finally I found it! Something that excites me. I've never said this before, but I can't wait to exercise now. Zumba! My passion.
Start a daily "to do" list and make sure you are in the top three spots. The sooner you start out this way, the easier it will become to start putting yourself first, without feeling guilty. Make exercise a top priority, as well as preparing your healthy snacks or meals for the day. Women especially tend to place everybody and everything else before themselves leaving no time in the day left for exercise or relaxation. Start making yourself, mind, body, and spirit a top priority!
