Ask the butcher about meat without added stuff and what they have in the back. They will cut it thinner for free.. roasts..etc. Also, ask what day best day to come and what time. Butcher's are very resourceful if you tell them you eating healthy as possible.
I carry around a 48 fl oz bottle of water everyday. Its easier to keep track of the water in the bottle than how many glasses I drink. I also freeze them overnight and drink it as it defrosts throughout the next day.
How do you deal with stress? Especially if you have lots of it? To avoid eye strain, you rest your eyes when they are busy. In the same way, when going about a busy day, I don't wait until I get stressed out to rest. I take a break at intervals.
For many years I took cigarette breaks to relieve stress at the office. I have been smoke free for one year 1/23/15. This alone relieved the stress of always wanting nicotine. I traded the cigarette break for a puzzle break. I have a jig saw puzzle that I can work on for a few minutes when I need to relax and not think for a minute or so.
Even though I did eat, I made healthy choices and logged my points. I also did a short exercise video which helped me get back to sleep. This is a big improvement for me over the past binging habit. I have included the calories from last night in today's count so feel I've progressed instead of giving up as I always did in the past. Today is a new day!
When feeling overwhelmed by stress, I go bowling and laugh at how bad I am at it. Bowling allows me to release pent-up aggression. If there is no lane available at the bowling alley, it's time to shake out my duster outside. Negative energy, be gone!
Every morning whether warm or cold, I make myself a cup of coffee, sit out on the porch and chill. I'll log into Spark Coach. Pet the cat. Listen to the birds. Breathe in the fresh air. Start my day chilled. I spend as long as my morning cup of Joe. But ohhhhhh, the peace it brings to the rest of the day.
