Thank you for showing us this exercise.
I already do the calf raises, fairly regularly.
I don't think I'll add the hopping though - arthritis and obesity is not a good combination for doing that on 1 leg.
I could maybe try some very small bounces, very small jumps both legs together, to spread the load?

Thank you coach Nicole . This should be an easy exercise I tried raising the heal and it's good I was doing that . But jumping I can not do . That's how bad my legs are. Thank you for giving so much

good exercise....however, you might want to modify it for someone with knee issues.

May be a good exercise for some people, but you should warn those with knee/ankle/foot issues (such as osteoarthritis) not to do this. The raises would likely be beneficial, but the hopping is dangerous for those with these issues.

Increasing muscle strengh with weight work doesn't necessarily increase muscle size, especially if you use light weights.

Thank you for this. I will be using this video a lot. It helps me with my RLS and leg pain. Doing this 3 times a day has decreased my leg pain!!! What a great thing for me!!!!

I will give it a try, thanks Nicole for the tip, but my concern is I have strong calfs and sometimes I get charlie horse's, from too much leg work? What do I do?????

I wonder if this will help me with the inside of my calves? I have absolutely no definitition on the inside of my calves and would like to some tips on building that part of my calves. I have even heard if I do some type of calf exercises with my toes pointed out or in would help but I'm not sure. Anyone have any tips?

I agree...i have large calfs and would not want them
to increase in size. My calf size due to being over-weight.
