When we microwave veggies, we rinse the veggies in the dish we're going to microwave it in, then drain the water out of it and our veggies are always perfect cooking with what water stayed on them after the rinse and drain.
Nothing new...My grandmother did the same thing. Including steaming.

I just got some beautiful organic broccoli on sale and was going to blanch it today so I could freeze it. Not doing that now that I've watched this video. I will be steaming it and then freezing it. Great informational video. Thanks.
