There is a smart phone app that you can use to scan the bar code on a food item and it automatically enters in the info. I am currently using "MyFitnessPal" and it does an excellent job of scanning bar codes and recording the info online automatically, they however do not have as robust a web site as sparkpeople seems to have (no suggested menus, no videos, not nearly as much content). I am considering switching entirely to this site and phone app but have seen some not so good reviews on the app. Can anyone who has used both apps give some feedback on their experiences with it?
My remove button does not work. If I accidentally put a food in and then want to remove, I cannot remove it because my remove button does not work. Can you help me?

I get so frustrated with the food tracker. The nutritional values are never correct and it's so time consuming entering every food I eat. I used spark people once before and I can see how tracking my food really helped but it takes so much time I had to give up. Now months later, I wanted to track food again. (i need to lose weight so bad!) And here again, it's such a dilemma just to enter breakfast! Look up "Arnold 12 grain bread" I went through 20 entries and all were incorrect. There are more than 50 entries, I gave up counting. I finally entered my own value, with the package right in front of me. But, I gave up. I need to list the butter on my toast and I had some kefir along with it. I don't have time to enter every single food I eat. I really wanted to help from spark people food tracker but who has the time? Who can spend hours just enter the food you eat? I understand you can save to your favorites, but it still has to be entered. Look it up. Arnold 12 grain bread. I stopped counting after 50 entries and I know the first 20 something are all incorrect . so discouraging
As an append to my previous post, you need to have the "Search" button highlighted (rather than "Favorites", "Groupings" or "Recipes") in order to find the "Enter Food Not Listed" link.
you can enter foods manually if they are not in the database, by clicking on the link that says "enter foods not listed" located on the "Track Your Food" page right underneath the "Search" button. A window pops up that allows you to name your food, and enter calories per serving and all of the nutrients that you know about it. Then after you save it, you can add it to your tracker, and when adding the new food to a meal, choose the "add this food to my favorites", so that you'll have it the next time you need it.
Thanks for the video. Is there a transcript to read with it. I am hard of hearing a missed a lot of this valuable information. I found the transcripts on the spark coach videos to be wonderful. I feel I get 100% of the info. Thanks for this wonderful site.
Glad this is included. I have been on Sparkpeople for years and I know that there is a lot on this site to take in and figure out. Hope that it is put into a tutorial when people first sign up to help them.

I love this food tracker. The video explains it well, although I figured most of it out prior to viewing the video. There is so muxh helpful info on this site, it is hard to take it all in. I have been exploring it all for about a week now as suggested. Thanks for keeping it free!
This is by far the best tracker I have ever used. I having been using this tracker for quite a few years now, I have also tried other trackers and thy do not compare to the Spark Nutrition Tracker.

New to this program and just now found this video. By visually seeing the information being shown was helpful. Only wish the volume would work if there is a voice with this explaining each step. To everyone using this "Keep up the good work and best of luck in your weight loss."
It is a helpful video but still I cannot figure out how can I Insert manually some food that it is not included to the offered choices

Believe it or not I'm still new at computers did manage to figure most of this out but it took forever. I have been on this site for several weeks and just found this video that would have been very helpful earlier on. Again new, but if I'm missing it then maybe it's not as obvious as it needs to be. I am thoroughly enjoying all of SparkPeople!!
Summer's not over yet! There's still plenty of time to tone up and bust out that swimsuit for one last hurrah. Get results in just 15 minutes per week with this plan--no excuses!
