I need to remove all tree nuts from the diet. Can't I do this just once, or do I really have to go in and edit the menu every single day? If I have to manually do this every day, I won't use the thing. I don't have that kind of time.
This is the best feature of these site! Helpful for staying accountable.

I just joined SparkPeople & have been tracking my food for only a few days. I am getting it down but will be easier with some practice. I am becoming more aware of my eating habits and notice that I'm not as quick to grab something spontaneously and pop it in my mouth.
I love the tracker. You have to check the foods to be sure all the nutrients are recorded, but by and large it does the job - yes it can be time consuming but I find that is part of what helps me to be mindful of what I put in my body. Adding favourites helps a lot - saves me tons of time! I have a good set of staples I eat in rotation. I would not be able to do this without the tracker, I am hopeless at estimating portion sizes.

I'm with JENNISAN - i'm on round two of trying this tracker. How do you ever know if what you select is accurate? The same thing is entered four different ways & who knows what is the right thing. It could be very misleading. Also, how can you tell if the food is Spark approved? All I see are people's names for the additions. I'm also doing WW but haven't lost a single ounce in two very hard weeks - lots of effort no pay off! Thought I'd do these two simutaneously & see what pans out. i too am frustrated after 2 days & not trusting all these entries.

I found out on July 24th that I am a diabetic. That was 2 days prior to surgery that I was scheduled for on July 26th. I had to have blood work done for this surgery, and one of them was a fasting blood test. What a shock. So now I must learn a whole new way of eating. I have so many questions on what foods I can eat. I gave everything I had in my kitchen away....bought all new food....things that I knew I could eat. I've done some research, but, some sites say yes to some foods...others say no. That leaves me puzzled. Some of my questions are....can I or can I not have eggs....what about bacon??? So far...these are my 2 questions. I don't have insurance, because I'm on Worker's Comp. The surgery I had was a neurostimulaltor implant, due to nerve damage in my leg. I'm laid up for another 5-8 weeks....so no exercise for me. I just want to get better and fight this disease.......I know I can do it, but.....I need help with some things right now.
How can I add Sodium to one of the reported columns for the meals so I can single out which foods are taking me over goal? I'm very sure the four olives today were a contributor but had three yesterday and only 1/2 the sodium intake yesterday. A column for each meal reporting on which row (food) had calcium would help me immensely. Thanks!
I was not able to play the video successfully but other things on site seem to be working fine. I will come back and check in to this further when I have more time. The video is a great idea for being new or if one just wants a review...if it can be played successfully.
