Congratulations! I know how you feel. My journey was similar and I agree, the results are great. Energy, less pain, better health! I was limited in what I could do. No the limits are gone and I'm able to enjoy the things I use to and try new things.

We will keep it off! I am confident for us.

To KERI414 - I did not pick up on that implication from the narration. I think I get what she means. I can tell you from my own experience that carrying extra pounds limits my life. For me, the life I dream of necessitates dropping pounds.

I identified with something totally different in that narrative: how losing weight will get my (hyperactive) life in line with my (risk-taker) goals! Losing weight means high adventure and physically demanding activities are becoming real possibilities for me. I want to go mountain climbing some day!

Even at my heaviest, I've always had an active "life". I just now want an active life without limits! This message fuels my dreams, not any hurtful stereotypes.

So, by implication, fat people have no lives? Since you "got yours back" after you weren't fat anymore? I think this message just fuels hurtful stereotypes.

Leah, (that's one of my daughter's names!) I dunno if you'll ever see this comment, but YOU LOOK AWESOME!!!! Are you sure the two women in the before/after pic is the same person???? LOL That shot of you in the "fat" pants after you'd lost the weight is amazing!!! Good for you!!! What an inspiration!!!
