Apple Raisin Breakfast Barley

1 cup medium pearled barley 1 cup unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup raisins 2 tbsp brown sugar 6 cups water
Rice cooker instructions: Put all ingredients in a rice cooker and flip switch.
On stove: Boil water. Stir all other ingredients into briskly boiling water. Cover and reduce heat and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes.
