Motivational Quote - It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up.

SparkPeople's Comments

We all have slip-ups and make mistakes. Don't let those setbacks derail your progress! Take two steps forward for every one step back and you'll get there, slowly but surely.

I was somewhat discouraged to find the weight is coming off so slowly so looked to the motivational quotes and this jumped out at me. Put it up on the board by my computer.

Yes... we have to keep getting up, and realize that if we are moving a little slow, at least we are still moving.

A friend of mine is to undergo the third serious operation in as many years on Wednesday. She continues to fight for better health and her attitude is amazing despite the pain and frustration she's had to endured.
I've just added this to her get well card, she is a fighter, it's perfect!

I love this man tho' he is long gone from this life. I can imagine the number of times a fighter gets knocked down in their career! What the hay am I complaining about already?? I have a "safe" occupation for financials. But, life situations - they do knock me down and sometimes I lay there, stunned. Not understanding, not being able to snap myself out of my pain of things that happen...well, this visual is a tool I can keep in my "toolbox" to fix myself when I let life get me down. Thank you for your help beyond the grave, Vince.
