Do you worry about what is going to happen in the future, or have sad regrets about the past? Take today to just concentrate on the present. It’s great to learn from the past and to plan for the future, but what is happening right now is what really matters. The past has come and gone and the future holds no guarantees. Today is the most important day. So begin each day with a plan. What do you want to accomplish today? Workout? Eat healthy? Play with your kids? Daily, small goals will help you in the long run achieve your dreams. Concentrate on the “now”.

When I read "SparkPeople's Comments" on the above quote it made me cry. Really caught myself off guard. The words pierced my spirit. They made me feel sad for my past. For all the yo-yo unsuccessful attempts through the years. Despite that fact that I have read so much, for so many years on the topic, I would practically consider myself almost an expert on living a healthy lifestyle! Yet, here I am over 200# at age 65. I sat for a bit and reflected. Guess one might say I was mourning over all the lost years. Years that I could have really participated in life and celebrated LIVING! I just felt so deflated at that moment.
Funny thing is, I thought, today has been an extremely upbeat positive day. I am ruining the moment, so-to-speak, with this pity party! I reflected realizing, T-O-D-A-Y, I was accountable! Yesterday too!! I plan on being accountable tomorrow as well. I had to snap myself out of the downward spiral. I began thinking, no use looking back! That doesn't help anything. That road has been washed away. I have found a new better road. I can not wait to see what is at the end of my new "Create a New Me" road trip ahead! I am filled with great anticipation for my future health! Looking forward to working diligently for it too! What gratification!
Summer's not over yet! There's still plenty of time to tone up and bust out that swimsuit for one last hurrah. Get results in just 15 minutes per week with this plan--no excuses!
