I run outdoors all year...absolutely hate the dreadmill! Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons though.

Spring is best for me. Winter in northern Minnesota is too cold, summer has too many mosquitos and fall keeps me too busy with the garden and yard to have time for outdoor exercise in addition to the yard work.

Depends on what you want to do, I suppose. Spring and fall are good weather for running, but spring has lots of mud and fall has lots of fallen walnuts and leaves (tripping and slipping hazards!) where I run. Winter can be icy, summer can be too humidly hot. But they also each have a unique beauty...

Fall is best for me because I am an ardent gardener and I like to clean up my garden patches in preparation for a blooming spring. However, anytime spent outdoors is OK with me.

I love summer and hate cold weather, so even living in beautiful Pensacola, Florida, the winter is not fun for me. Love the beach in summer time with the white sand and clear water.

There is no "best"...! Although I'll submit Winter as the *worst*...since I don't YET own a pair of cross country skis...lol!

Fall is perfect for me because it is the only season in Louisiana that is cool enough and not uncomfortable.

While I prefer cold over heat, the winter can get too cold & the summers are too hot & humid. Spring & Fall do not do well with allergies. I am patiently waiting for the first good, solid frost & then the pollen count will drop along with the temp & breathing will then be easier.

I think you should have more categories: i.e. Fall & Spring, Spring Summer & Fall, etc. I like to take walks in any weather up to 80 degrees.

There should have been an "other" comment as opposed to "none of the above" as I'm fond of spring and fall (prime walkathon seasons)!

winter is my favorite time for anything outdoors, but i live in arizona. that is the only time it is cool enough.

Most of my outdoor activity has to do with nature: garden, yard and removing leaves, snow and ice. Over the last five years I've taken care or three residential properties: mine, family and a neighbor's. Summertime and fall, I volunteer at Habitat for Humanity building and renovating homes several days a week. Exercise is at a local gym three days a week and biking Rails-to-Trails and walking the local park's trails. I prefer summer since then is when I get most of my outdoor exercise by doing things for others.

I live in South Florida, so all seasons are good for outdoor exercising. I would say that summer would be the last on my choices of seasons.
