I picked Hiking, Jogging at this time of year would have been my choice, but it wasn't posted as a choice... wonder why? I love this site. I just found it and think I will get a lot of useful information. Thank you everyone =)

I don't know that raking leaves is my favorite but it is something I do every fall and every spring. Ah, the joys of living too close to the woods. Then again those trees are nice in the summer time when they keep the house 11 degree cooler than it is outside.

Here in Minnesota the leaves are already changing and it is so beautiful. I like to find one leaf and dry it. I put it in my dash of my car for the whole winter. When there is only white snow and dead dry tress I look at that one leaf with all the different colors and can't wait for winter to be over to see all the trees again with the fall colors.

I just love the hunted house and trails, and chasing the kids around and getting chased!

What?! Why didn't EVERYONE choose playing in the leaves?!?! Oh, sure, hikes are fun, but not as much fun as screaming wildly while your doggie pummels you and you get leaves down your butt crack!!

Oh, you know what I chose!

My MOST fav fall activity is going to the N. Carolina mountains during the leaf change and hiking some of their exquisite trails. I love adventure! It also brings back fond memories of the little cabin we had there for 10 years...why the heck did we ever sell that place? It was bliss!

I still love to carve pumpkins. When all my kids were home we had a 2 acre patch that we raised and sold pumpkins. We had an assembly line going. One would did the hole, one would bring a stick that he measured to the next hole, another would drop the seeds and the last would cover them. The kids are just now cashing in savings bonds that they purchased with their "pumpkin money". I would take a pickup load up to the highway and sell and carve pumpkins. People would stop, pick out their pumpkin, decide what they wanted on it. I would draw it out for them, if they approved it, they would come back the next evening to pick it up. I can remember sitting up til midnight to get the pumpkins carved before the next day.

I love most anything to do with fall! Apple picking with the kids is one of my favorites but that is because we are walking around in the orchard and munching on crisp apples. I love hiking on trails to just for the beauty and quiet of the woods. However right now I am going to enjoy the summer first :)

It's a close call for me apple picking and pumpkin carving. apple picking won out because we're out on the beautiful weather longer usually. i don't live near apple farms anymore so it's hard now but we used to do it every year with my family. it's great. and my fave holiday is halloween so carving pumpkins is a necessity...as well as roasting those pumpkin seeds for great snacks!

I don't like jumping in leaves. I do enjoy clearing them away and making the yard look good again.
