Buying Plums

Look for:
plums that are smooth-skinned and without blemishes.

Avoid:
plums that are wrinkled and have spots or discoloration.

Seasonality: Late spring, summer and early fall

Storing Plums

Refrigerate ripe plums in a plastic bag up to 4 days. Ripen plums at room temperature until soft.

Preparing Plums

Wash before eating and cut in half to remove the pit.
