When to Call A Doctor

See your doctor if you:

  • Lose your voice for more than a few days

  • Are hoarse for more than two weeks

  • Have hoarseness accompanied by:

    • Difficulty swallowing

    • A lump in the throat

    • Unexplained pain

    • Coughing up blood
