Paget's Disease of BonePrognosisPaget's disease itself is not fatal, however, it is associated with an increased risk of a cancerous bone tumor, called osteosarcoma. Paget's disease is a long-lasting (chronic) condition. The outlook is generally good, especially if the condition is diagnosed and treated before major changes in bones have occurred and when there is no osteosarcoma.
