That was very beautiful and inspirational. That was very special how her mother and Opera helped her realize what beauty is. I see beauty in a lot of people. It is what spills forth from that person, not just what you see. - 7/19/2017 12:46:38 PM
  • You are a gorgeous & beautiful woman inside & out! Our God has made us & He made us from His eyes & His hands, that we would be a blessing to Him! And we must be just
that! I hope everyone has a Wonderful & Blessed Wednesday! LYL! - 2/1/2017 5:31:40 PM
  • I think Lupita is not only absolutely gorgeous...but she is so beautiful! Such a beautiful spirit! And it is very common for dark-skinned African-American women to feel self-conscious (even self-hate) because of the color of their skin. We live in a world where the Eurocentric ideal of physical beautiful reinforces this. The journey that some of us take to realizing that we are beautiful (internally and externally) just as God created us is very real and it can be very harsh. - 10/19/2016 11:39:08 AM
  • No one is beautiful because "Oprah says they are" - beauty is a gift from God & everyone can have the beauty that counts most.

That young woman is more than beautiful - she is precious in the eyes of the Creator God! I feel so sad knowing that she wasted years of not accepting her skin coloring as perfect for her life assignment. - 5/8/2016 6:32:50 PM
The closed captioning is terrible. It needs to be cleaned up. - 3/17/2015 1:03:42 PM
  • What a poised, eloquent, beautiful young woman. - 10/14/2014 6:18:16 AM
  • Not going to lie... this made me tear up. - 7/13/2014 1:24:27 AM
There is a goddess among us. - 5/18/2014 7:49:26 PM
  • She's not a perfect speaker, seems a little nervous at the beginning. Sniffling a little. But WOW what poise and confidence to not only go through that but be able to express it in front of so many people so eloquently. She is more than an inspiration -- She's absolutely believable and easy to relate to. Wonderful! - 3/19/2014 5:01:20 PM
  • Amazing to see this girl all grown up and talking so inspiringly. I remember her as a 12 year old, unsure of herself. The family were our patients in the HMO I worked. Later her sister attended the school I worked in.
Now the little duckling has grown into a beautiful swan. And I can see her Mum has had her influence on her. She talks with the same eloquence as Mum.
In Kenya everyone is proud of her. - 3/15/2014 2:18:51 AM
  • Well said!!! - 3/13/2014 11:42:34 AM
