  • Water is the only beverage your body needs.
  • We tried the mint chocolate chip-oat cookies and they were good. A little strange to me b/c I'd never seen the green mint chips before! Definitely a seasonal type of cookie and it helps if you like mint flavors.
  • Perfect list .. love it! I see several I can use all year.
  • These look good... but I was really interested in a healthier version of the adorable cookies featured with the title of the article. Why not post this list with a photo of one of the healthier treats? Instead of teasing us with regular iced gingerbread cookies in adorable shapes?

  • will definitely try the pumpkin gingerbread one.
  • Thanks, CHERIEPIE69! We've fixed this link :)
  • For anyone looking for the Pumpkin Gingerbread recipe, since it's not linked up properly in the article above, I googled and found it here:

  • Was looking forward to trying the pumpkin gingerbread recipe, but it links back to the image file instead of an actual recipe. :(
  • They all look and sound great! Thanks.
  • Thanks so much for the tips.
  • I have no intention of doing any of these things but it's a nice list for those who want to. For myself, I do believe that this is a special holiday and I want to be grateful for having food but the real thing i.e., dark meat turkey, gravy, stuffing, since we are eating out. Later when I cook for the rest of the weekend at my leisure, then I will make some substitutions. I want what I really enjoy - just watch the portions and cut back from what I used to eat(which was thirds) of most things.
  • THANKS so much for the plethora of possibilities. I'll have to do the best I can with Thanksgiving, but I'm hosting Christmas, and I'm determined to do it as tasty and healthy as possible with LOTS of help from SP!

I love home made goodies. Hard to say no. This Thanksgiving I am buying desserts for my family that they will love and I will be out of the kitchen and away from the the hot chocolate chip cookies and all those pies.
