  • We tried the mint chocolate chip-oat cookies and they were good. A little strange to me b/c I'd never seen the green mint chips before! Definitely a seasonal type of cookie and it helps if you like mint flavors.

  • I have no intention of doing any of these things but it's a nice list for those who want to. For myself, I do believe that this is a special holiday and I want to be grateful for having food but the real thing i.e., dark meat turkey, gravy, stuffing,since we are eating out. Later when I cook for the rest of the weekend at my leisure, then I will make some substitutions. I want what I really enjoy - just watch the portions and cut back from what I used to eat(which was thirds) of most things.

    I love home made goodies. Hard to say no. This Thanksgiving I am buying desserts for my family that they will love and I will be out of the kitchen and away from the the hot chocolate chip cookies and all those pies.
