I agree with Mellowjourney, I think including eating is particularly bizarre!! To suggest that eating is a good way to burn off calories is a rather misguided! (you'd eat a lot more than the 95 calories you burned!!) Annagred - I think the numbers are misleading becuase they have given different times for each of the activities - if you calculate it out per minute (yes, I did!) then moving around dusting does burn more calories per minute than sitting down driving - the assumption here is just that you wouldn't spend as long doing it. It might have been better to indicate how many calories you would burn during 10 minutes of each activity, then it would have been easier to compare what would help you burn the most calories.
I guess the thing that I find the oddest is that everyday activities like eating, driving, and grocery shopping are even listed. After all, aren't these already figured into our calorie ranges for a sedentary lifestyle? I think we run a dangerous risk of thinking we've exercised if we starting adding things like that up. Better to get a 15 min walk/jog in as often as possible over the season. I plan to keep my workouts. They are what keep me sane after all, and able to handle all the other stresses.
