  • Great article - I much prefer herbs and spices to the blanket taste of salt in everything. Was very happy to see the table listing which herbs/spices go with which foods. Have printed it out to keep in the kitchen. Thanks very much. - 10/21/2009 8:31:39 AM

This is a great article. I've started growing my own herbs for an expensive fresh supply and I am now definitely a convert to the fresh stuff. I've also planted some of the perennial herbs in pots so that I can bring them in during the winter and still have a supply of the fresh stuff. This year I was very successful with rosemary, will add thyme and sage to containers next year. - 2/7/2009 1:47:12 PM

  • What I love about growing my own is that when I pick them the smell is wonderful, anything lemon (lemon thyme, lemon grass, lemon verbena) just make you smile when you pick it............plus the taste is unbelievable. - 4/14/2008 12:18:50 PM
