thanks for the birthday wishes. I think I signed up for this and never went back to it again. I was surprised at how many people were older, like I am, and they are all full of determination even one person at 81! I feel encouraged. I have gained eight pounds this year. - 3/31/2015 6:27:46 PM

Thank you for my birthday wish. Each decade there is a change to my body that surprises me. Today I am 81 and need desperately to change my attitude towards how I live each day. I will do it starting today. Yesterday, I began an exercise program and now a new look at what I eat. I can do it. - 2/24/2015 12:04:47 PM

  • A good article, and I will work on all but the last. I don't believe in rewarding myself for something I should be doing. That's like rewarding myself for cleaning the house or doing the laundry. - 1/3/2015 8:12:28 AM

I found this program by accident but I guess I am a fatalist, it was meant to be. I am starting the program officially on Jan. 1, this has been a interesting year yet many challenges. I just turned 65, had surgery on my knee, tore my rotator cuff at a gym and I am determined to lose the45 lbs I need to stop hurting both physically and mentally. - 12/29/2014 5:33:04 PM

  • Starting today I am not eating any processed food, it is a good place to start. Getting to whole foods and not the processed stuff should made a difference. Almonds are whole food and granola bars are processed food. Everyone needs fat in their diet, good for the brain. - 10/5/2014 5:08:19 AM

I am having a very difficult time with what exactly is "healthy" food. Is nothing that comes easily healthy? Can I only eat fruit and veg? I look at the almonds at300 calories for 40%of my daily fat allowance and wonder if that is truly "healthy". Yes, I know its the right kind of fat but it is fat nonetheless! Is there any granola bar that would be classed as healthy? is there a resource that outlines what is "healthy"? Are there perameters set out somewhere? Can anyone help????? - 10/4/2014 1:36:40 PM
  • well, I am going to be brutally honest about my food intake. that is an eye opener!!!!! I am just starting, but I think the food is ultimately going to be the hardest for me. And here I thought I was eating healthy and my exercise was my problem. NOt!!!!!!!
