  • Great ideas, can't wait to expand on this list

  • The list is a keeper. Saw a snack that I never thought of: Watermelon w/feta cheese, who knew?
  • What a great list - thank you!
  • great snacks--I love low fat ricotta cheese 1/4 cup, and then vary the snack depending on what sounds good- I have added walnuts/cinnamon, honey/cinnamon, dark cocoa powder/cinnamon, or a tsp of simply fruit/a few fresh berries---all make great snacks that remind me of cheesecake.
  • These are great ideas! Thanks for sharing!
  • Lots of good ideas here, but these are only a start. A little creativity added to what you have on hand can result in even more good, healthy snacks.
  • A favorite around here is a couple of Wasa brand rye crisps with a slice of provolone between, then nuked just enough to soften the chees. Might tasty and quite satisfying.
  • I like all of these, yum. I haven't used a vending machine, other than a water bottle machine at an emergency room, in years at work or out-and-about.
I keep a bag of (brand names) shelled pistachios and shelled pecans at work as well as the 1.5 oz boxes of raisins and craisins and a bag of granola cereal. Take a .25 cup of each nut and either craisin or raisin mixed in with granola and I have a trail mix. I'll make a big bowl and leave it on our shift table with a scoop to share with my other shift workers. When we leave Va. to visit folks in Kansas (hers) or Florida (mine) we pre=mix the granola and nuts and then add the raisins and craisins later when we want a snack. Carrots and celery travel well too.

  • I like most of these snack too.
  • Thank you for the good ideas. I appreciate SP members adding others too! :)
  • Ilove cottage cheese and fruit. It's so good. I also like Boost for Sugar control made into a shake with ice and blend i tablespoon of peanut butter.
  • The fruit leather and nuts looks to me to be an excellent "travelling" snack, or something to have on hand "just in case."
