If you don't want to give up your creamy dips, substitute fat-free yogurt, or fat-free Greek yogurt for the sour cream. I've been doing this for years and nobody has noticed the difference.
I love hummus with fresh veggies as a snack -- though when making it at home, I always add some tahini (sesame paste)! You can find it at international stores or in the health food aisle of your regular grocery store. I also use 3 or 4 cloves of garlic and some cumin.
Great suggestions and I'll definitely bring along a tray of fruit but sure wish I could get the party hostess to serve something somewhat healthy! My tray will be the ONLY healthy thing there!
Some great suggestions...I thought deviled eggs would be off limits, but it's nice to know that with a couple of healthy swaps in my recipe they are still do able!

Mostly the same old same old, low cal high carb is not healthy for everyone. Most of those would do nasty things to my blood glucose numbers. I'll stick to my foods, and leave the hummus ( for example) alone. WW
