Bonnie, that is wonderful!!! I just started this program, and im so excited to see so many people making this work for them...Im that size 14 girl trying to get to a size 10. So as much as i hate the treadmill sitting in my basement holding things. Im going to clean it off and start walking. Thanks you. Report
Bonnie I am new to Sparkpeople what an inspiration! I love Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" just completed the 2 mile walk. Keep up the great work! Report
Congratulations on your success! Thank you for being such an inspiration. I've tried walking on my treadmill, but I'm so out of shape that I get winded after only a few minutes. But the next time I begin my walk, I'll remember your story and keep one foot in front of the other. Thank you again for posting your story. Report
I have lost weight also by walking and following my diabetic diet. I use a treadmill and Leslie's DVDs. I've gone from a size 16/18 to 12/14 in 5 months. down 28.5 lbs and lots of inches. I will walk outside in the spring! thanks for the encouragement with this article! Report
I'm new to this website, but you really got me excited about walking. I just ordered two of the walk videos. Also, I just got a pedometer to measure how many miles I walk a day. I will see tomorrow how many miles I put on just at work. Report

Your story is amazing! I have also just walked myself to 48 lbs lighter:)! I have a 2 year old and could not run or keep up with her & one day I said something has to weight! and so I began to walk. I went from a size 16P to a size 8P in about 5 months. I have kept the weight off also! Report
Just want to thank you for the starting off slow part. I felt bad because I was so tired when I started off. When you said start off slow, I felt better about being tired so quick. Thanks. Report
Kudos to you!
I truly appreicate your article. I walk four miles each day. I can walk two miles in a little under thirty minutes. I can't imagine not being able to walk everyday. I use this time (my am and pm walk) to sort and clear my head. I feel the strength in my legs and I feel my posture improving. My neighbors encourage me along my walk telling me to keep up the good work, and congratuations for being so dedicated.

Thank you for your article, I am always looking for motivation. All the best! Viva walkers! Report
