  • I am doing a walking program and it is always inspiring to see what people have achieved. Great Job!
  • I am walking right now and have hit the same plateau. Thanks for the tips.

Way to go! Keep up the great work!

I found this the right time... Thanks a lot for inspiring me. I will try my best to achieve my goal and stay motivated.
Thank you for sharing!! I have the walking dvd's and love them!!
  • Your story sounds like mines....I love walking...Just being outside and taking in the beauty of the earth.
So Glad you shared your story. I am determined to start walking each day and lose the pounds I have put back on in the last 3 years. I had forgotten how great you feel afterwards .. I am a little older now and a bit slower BUT even after a few days I feel so much better.
  • Thanks for the motivation. Thanks, too, for reminding me that often I make weightloss harder than it has to be.
I just started SparkPeople last week and am very excited! I started walking after work in the hallways in the building since my allergies affect me when I walk outside. I did not walk these last 2 days since I was too tired from work. But, I miss my walking which I have been doing for 2 weeks and will start up again tomorrow. I know I will get back to my, 10,9,8 sizes. Time heals all, the weight will come off! Keep inspiring as you do!!! Thanks, Bonnie!!!
  • Thank you, this was both realistic and encouraging.
  • Bonnie, you are such an inspiration. I am not a runner, (my knees won't allow it), you show that it can be done by walking. I wish I could find a walking buddy, but in the meantime, I'm going to follow your advice and start out slow, and take my music with me. Thanks, and continued good luck to you!
  • Thank you for posting this. I was a 14 until my bunion surgery six weeks ago. I can still squeeze into that 14, but it's not pretty - suppose the holidays didn't help either. I am just starting to walk again & I really want to join you in the 6-8 size range, but I'd be happy with a 10-12. You look great.
  • Bonnie, that is wonderful!!! I just started this program, and im so excited to see so many people making this work for them...Im that size 14 girl trying to get to a size 10. So as much as i hate the treadmill sitting in my basement holding things. Im going to clean it off and start walking. Thanks you.
  • Bonnie I am new to Sparkpeople what an inspiration! I love Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" just completed the 2 mile walk. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations on your success! Thank you for being such an inspiration. I've tried walking on my treadmill, but I'm so out of shape that I get winded after only a few minutes. But the next time I begin my walk, I'll remember your story and keep one foot in front of the other. Thank you again for posting your story.
  • I have lost weight also by walking and following my diabetic diet. I use a treadmill and Leslie's DVDs. I've gone from a size 16/18 to 12/14 in 5 months. down 28.5 lbs and lots of inches. I will walk outside in the spring! thanks for the encouragement with this article!
