So Glad you shared your story. I am determined to start walking each day and lose the pounds I have put back on in the last 3 years. I had forgotten how great you feel afterwards .. I am a little older now and a bit slower BUT even after a few days I feel so much better.
Thanks for the motivation. Thanks, too, for reminding me that often I make weightloss harder than it has to be.

I just started SparkPeople last week and am very excited! I started walking after work in the hallways in the building since my allergies affect me when I walk outside. I did not walk these last 2 days since I was too tired from work. But, I miss my walking which I have been doing for 2 weeks and will start up again tomorrow. I know I will get back to my, 10,9,8 sizes. Time heals all, the weight will come off! Keep inspiring as you do!!! Thanks, Bonnie!!!
Bonnie, you are such an inspiration. I am not a runner, (my knees won't allow it), you show that it can be done by walking. I wish I could find a walking buddy, but in the meantime, I'm going to follow your advice and start out slow, and take my music with me. Thanks, and continued good luck to you!
Thank you for posting this. I was a 14 until my bunion surgery six weeks ago. I can still squeeze into that 14, but it's not pretty - suppose the holidays didn't help either. I am just starting to walk again & I really want to join you in the 6-8 size range, but I'd be happy with a 10-12. You look great.
Bonnie, that is wonderful!!! I just started this program, and im so excited to see so many people making this work for them...Im that size 14 girl trying to get to a size 10. So as much as i hate the treadmill sitting in my basement holding things. Im going to clean it off and start walking. Thanks you.
Bonnie I am new to Sparkpeople what an inspiration! I love Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" just completed the 2 mile walk. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations on your success! Thank you for being such an inspiration. I've tried walking on my treadmill, but I'm so out of shape that I get winded after only a few minutes. But the next time I begin my walk, I'll remember your story and keep one foot in front of the other. Thank you again for posting your story.
I have lost weight also by walking and following my diabetic diet. I use a treadmill and Leslie's DVDs. I've gone from a size 16/18 to 12/14 in 5 months. down 28.5 lbs and lots of inches. I will walk outside in the spring! thanks for the encouragement with this article!
I'm new to this website, but you really got me excited about walking. I just ordered two of the walk videos. Also, I just got a pedometer to measure how many miles I walk a day. I will see tomorrow how many miles I put on just at work.
Your story is amazing! I have also just walked myself to 48 lbs lighter:)! I have a 2 year old and could not run or keep up with her & one day I said something has to change....my weight! and so I began to walk. I went from a size 16P to a size 8P in about 5 months. I have kept the weight off also!

Just want to thank you for the starting off slow part. I felt bad because I was so tired when I started off. When you said start off slow, I felt better about being tired so quick. Thanks.
