  • Your story sounds like mines....I love walking...Just being outside and taking in the beauty of the earth. - 12/6/2011 10:15:31 AM
So Glad you shared your story. I am determined to start walking each day and lose the pounds I have put back on in the last 3 years. I had forgotten how great you feel afterwards .. I am a little older now and a bit slower BUT even after a few days I feel so much better. - 6/29/2011 6:54:56 PM
  • Thanks for the motivation. Thanks, too, for reminding me that often I make weightloss harder than it has to be. - 5/29/2011 9:30:29 PM
I just started SparkPeople last week and am very excited! I started walking after work in the hallways in the building since my allergies affect me when I walk outside. I did not walk these last 2 days since I was too tired from work. But, I miss my walking which I have been doing for 2 weeks and will start up again tomorrow. I know I will get back to my, 10,9,8 sizes. Time heals all, the weight will come off! Keep inspiring as you do!!! Thanks, Bonnie!!! - 3/31/2011 8:45:46 PM
  • Thank you, this was both realistic and encouraging. - 3/1/2011 10:17:19 PM
  • Bonnie, you are such an inspiration. I am not a runner, (my knees won't allow it), you show that it can be done by walking. I wish I could find a walking buddy, but in the meantime, I'm going to follow your advice and start out slow, and take my music with me. Thanks, and continued good luck to you! - 2/26/2011 12:53:09 PM
  • Thank you for posting this. I was a 14 until my bunion surgery six weeks ago. I can still squeeze into that 14, but it's not pretty - suppose the holidays didn't help either. I am just starting to walk again & I really want to join you in the 6-8 size range, but I'd be happy with a 10-12. You look great. - 1/12/2011 8:46:52 AM
  • Bonnie, that is wonderful!!! I just started this program, and im so excited to see so many people making this work for them...Im that size 14 girl trying to get to a size 10. So as much as i hate the treadmill sitting in my basement holding things. Im going to clean it off and start walking. Thanks you. - 11/11/2010 1:35:50 PM
  • Bonnie I am new to Sparkpeople what an inspiration! I love Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" just completed the 2 mile walk. Keep up the great work! - 8/12/2010 10:51:13 PM
Congratulations on your success! Thank you for being such an inspiration. I've tried walking on my treadmill, but I'm so out of shape that I get winded after only a few minutes. But the next time I begin my walk, I'll remember your story and keep one foot in front of the other. Thank you again for posting your story. - 3/21/2010 12:44:55 PM
  • I have lost weight also by walking and following my diabetic diet. I use a treadmill and Leslie's DVDs. I've gone from a size 16/18 to 12/14 in 5 months. down 28.5 lbs and lots of inches. I will walk outside in the spring! thanks for the encouragement with this article! - 2/8/2010 8:11:43 PM
  • I'm new to this website, but you really got me excited about walking. I just ordered two of the walk videos. Also, I just got a pedometer to measure how many miles I walk a day. I will see tomorrow how many miles I put on just at work. - 1/25/2010 1:28:26 AM
