Wow...what an AWESOME story...it is very inspirational to me,I have been trying to lose weight for years & I think I've tried every diet out there and I own quite a few of Leslie's dvd's and my problem was I never stuck to it but after reading this I know I can do it...:) Thank you soooooo much for sharing your story with others,May God bless you!!! PS:I'm not a morning person but I am definately really gonna try to make getting up early to walk with Leslie a lifestyle change for me. Thank you again, Crystal
Thank you so much for doing this article. I was just diagnosed in February with MS and found that I needed to work out at home. I do have a bike but miss walking, I will definitely look into this series. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck with your journey!
I ♥ Leslie! and I recommend her to ANYONE! Especially if you are new to exercise or other higher impact routines are too much. She is super positive and always reminds you that "you can't do it wrong!"
Judy- You are a rock star! I am a little over one week walking outdoors. I prefer the outdoors, but I too have bad seasonal allergies and the weather in MI fluctuates all the time, so it's a great way to make sure I can get in my walking when indoors or after hours when my son is sleeping... I'm so inspired by you I might just get up in the morning and do an indoor walk before work :) Thanks for your moving story!
Leslie Sansone was my aerobics instructor back in New Castle, PA, before she started the walking routine. Her husband (now ex) was our high school principal at one time. Question: On what do you do your walking? I started one time and DH said I was going to ruin the carpet. Do you put down a sheet of plywood or something similar???

Hey I am going to have to get past my excuses...I have these DVDs...I need to get them out and take advantage of them...She very motivating
I also use the Leslie Sansone dvds. I agree they are particularly good for beginners, or to vary on days when you can only do 1 mile at a time and want to come back and do a 2 mile one later in the day (my plan for today). She gets upper body involved too, so adds more benefit than walking outdoors, plus I have allergy problems that make walking outside in spring summer and fall not so fun sometimes, and the ice and snow to contend with now in the winter.

this is great ty, I look after a special needs lady and she has a multitude of health problems and walking out side on uneven pavement is not a good choice for her, but these videos are great I can get her to walk safely and supervised!! And it is working, she is using her wheel chair less and less and using a walker now! Ty for telling us about the videos I never heard of them before..
That was good. I downloaded free sessions of the videos and put them on DVD's. I can do this since I have RA and it's hard for me to walk period. But especially since it's so cold now, this will be a great thing to start. Thanks for the post!!

Hello, I hope that I can tell you all soon, that I lost weight by walking. You're story has inspired me, too. I looked into my fios tv free exercise videos and I see that LS has a walk away the "sugar" work out, too. I will try that one tomorrow.
As for today, I just did a Jane Fonda beginners walk one mile. It is aerobic. I am sweating. It is worth a try. it is a bit more intense.

I also have Leslie's walk video's, they are great...Great job...
Leslie videos are great. I started with her on comcast on demand. Then went out and bought the five mile. I walk at home Leslie for back up If I can't get outdoors or to the gym, I have given her dvd to a few friends to get them started. It's a great way to get your cardio in the comfort of your own home, with out having to learn any fancy moves. Just OUT TOGETHER, OUT TOGETHER. :-)
