  • I just started doing Leslie Sansone's "Walk Away the Pounds" today! The reason is because my weight kept going up & down. I hope I have good luck as you did! I hope everyone had a Marvelous & Blessed Monday! Linda!
  • Thank you So very much for the Inspiration. I know I can do this workout and even get out to walk my dog for 15 to 20 minutes a day.
How many minutes a day did you walk during those 7 months?

  • I love Leslie Sansone videos!! I experienced successful weight loss with her programs years ago and have just recently picked up a few new DVDs (some workouts are also available on YouTube). Her videos are perfect for beginners and on those days when running out to the gym is just not an option. For intermediate exercisers, adding weights and other resistance can boost the walking workouts tremendously!

I have tried other walking videos, but always find my way back to Leslie... I just like her! ;)
  • Thank you so much for sharing! This has really encouraged me to do this. I have Parkinson's and share many of your initial feelings of embarrassment and concerns. Congratulations and thanks again.
  • You are truly an inspiration for me. Some days I feel tired (or lazy) and find excuses not to walk. Now I can think about you and realize there really is no "good" reason not to walk. I will definitely check out the videos and pick up a couple for when it's raining, snowing or too hot. Thanks for sharing your story.
  • Leslie Sansone was my aerobics instructor in the late 80's - back in western PA. Her husband was our high school principal.
  • Thanks for sharing. You have definitely busted all my excuses for not working out.
Several of us have done this without dvd's, just timed ourselves, you really don't need to go outside. Why do people always lose weight in 10 pound increments though? It's never "59" lbs. or "63" lbs, sort of odd.
  • I love Leslie's dvds. I have quite a few. I have been using them for 5 1/2 months and have lost 48 pounds so far. They are great and so much fun. Congrats on the weight loss!
  • Congratulations! You truly are an inspiration. Keep up the good work. I am so proud of you.
  • Check out Jessica Smiths Dvd's as well. Hers are a little more costly but the are so much fun. She has a great 15 minute one that u can do when ur pressed for time or you can do two of them to make a 30 minute walk. She also has a 21 Day Walk Dvd that is a lot of fun. She includes her mom as the modifier. She appears to be in her early 50's and in good shape. You have three walk levels to choose from. I have four of her Dvd's, love her, her style and personality...very motivating!
  • Way to go! Thanks for all the tips.
  • Congrats! I have a whole collection of Leslie DVDs, but she gets on my nerves. However, your story gave me a good kick in the butt. So, I will have to dust those babies off and start walking w/ Leslie again! Thanks!

  • Congratulations! Sixty pounds off of you and improved muscle tone...with MS?! You are one strong and fit lady. How awesome that you worked within your limits yet still pushed yourself to find what you were capable of. Leslie has an infectious spirit and great attitude, lacing up the sneaks and walking with her is like hanging with friends. I also appreciate her efforts to help tone as you walk, and even Leslie has jumped on the HITT bandwagon to help her followers achieve their max calorie burn. What an inspiration you are, thank you for sharing your story. All the best, deb
