  • Good job. I am sooooooooo PROUD of you. You have given me the motivation to go out and buy one of these DVD's to use at home. Whenever I could find the time to walk, I would go to the park and walk 5-6 miles at a time. But because I'm always on the go, that was few and far in between. This is a great idea becuase I can get my walk in in the am before I leave as well as in the pm when I get back home. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

    I bought Leslie Sansone's "Walk at Home 5 Day Slim Down" DVD a couple of months ago after seeing her on a TV talk show. I learned long ago that making exercise as convenient as possible helps my willingness to do it, so I figured that this sort of program would be ideal for me.

    Did Day 1 exactly once, and then, um, well, um...didn't do it again. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy it. I quite like her approach, actually. I just wasn't doing *any* exercise to speak of.

    Having recently moved weight loss and fitness back onto the front burner in my mind and joined SP, I just dug out the orphaned DVD and did Day 1 (a 14-minute mile without weights) again.

    When I logged on to track my activity, I got curious and did a search for "Leslie Sansone," which is how I stumbled across this article.

    Your approach--alternating for variety--is clearly a smart one. Fortunately, since this DVD has 5 different mile-long workouts on it, I think it'll keep my interest until I can get some of the others. To start with, I'll try your recommendation, and alternate the Day 1 walk with the Day 5 Speed Walk.

    I'm also planning to add some yoga to my activities, so I appreciate your recommendation about how to incorporate that as well.

  • Your advice has completely turned the excuse factory OFF over here! I was feeling very discouraged that my legs were the only part of me that felt different after weeks of Leslie Sansone's program. I know now that it can work with just doing this and a few other exercises. I know that I don't need a gym membership to get slim again! Thank you so much!
  • Fantastic. I appreciate you letting everyone know how you accomplished you goals and the challenges you had in doing so. I have back problems and I have found Leslie Sansome to be the best work out routine for me as well. I watch it on television on a fitness channel on cable and use 32oz water bottles as 2lb weights. I will get the DVD's and alternates you mentioned and build a fitness library with small equipment later. It is definitely on my to do list.

    I have only stretched at the end of Leslie's 3mile walk. After reading your story, I realize that I need to add Gaim’s AM and PM Yoga to my workout, I think I saw the DVD’s at the library. I went outside and Sun bathed today. I went to the pool when it was empty. I guess I am hiding out too! Thank you for your honesty. I feel like my body is under reconstruction and I just want to be private but I don't have to hide. I will start responding daily to my Spark Team and use the sites resources. You have inspired me.   • Judi - your story really inspired me. Thank you for posting it. I, too, have MS and although I can often do high-intensity exercise, sometimes walking is the most rigorous activity that I can manage. It's good to know that walking is enough.

    Congratulations Judi !!! You look alwsome. I saw Leslie Sansone 2008 of Jan. on QVC and decided to get the walk slim dvd system, tried it didn't like it at the time. Noticed my weight was getting out of hand this year 09. Started walking outside different areas,a couple of weeks later after I had promised to give the set to someone, I decided to try the watb one more time and I really enjoyed it!! So I ended up keeping my word and ordering meyself another dvd, and I have been working out since arrival It's wonderful to know about your success I'm happy for you; you have encouraged me a lot.     I enjoy Sansone's DVD when I can't get outside. Before #3 arrived, I would put the DVD in after work and the my girls (then 1.5 and 3.5) would do "Kicks" with me. 1 mile got them nice and tired for bed. :)
