Well I did 41 modified pushups (27 full pushups) when I tried again for these...not too shabby for 49 years old.! I scored excellent in all 3 tests..in fact I was in the excellent range for someone 15 years younger than I am in all 3. And yet I don't feel that I am in that good of shape for the most part.. maybe I am expecting too much from myself?
wow, this really showed me that i have lots of room for improvement! Thanks for the test!

This was excellent and I want to thank-you for this test. I was feeling so bad about myself and all the hard work I have done. I am 51 years old and I did 32 push ups. Excellent shape. thank-you wileve
I did 20 & that's average for my age, so I'm thrilled!! I don't think my fitness has ever been "average". Yay for getting in shape! I've lost 20 pounds and I feel so much better just from that, but I could stand to lose atleast 50 more. But I am stoked that I did so well on the pushup test!!
I did better than I thought I would. I did 19 and was yelling during the last one I did. :) I'm 37 so that puts me in the average category. I made a note on my SP to see how I do four weeks from now. I'm starting a ST routine (Jari Love's Ripped to the Core DVD) so I'm sure I'll be better by then!
Here on SparkPeople there is a group doing the One Hundred Pushup challenge. The group is called "One Hundred Pushups". I joined a few weeks go. I've been doing regular pushups and this morning I did 50 consecutive which puts me in excellent shape among men my age. In just 4 more consecutive pushups I'll be in excellent shape among men ages 20-29. I'm a 37 yr old woman! If anyone wants to improve their pushups, I high recommend the 100 Pushup Challenge! Many of the women are doing the challenge with knee pushups. And there are lots of beginners who have never done pushups before. So don't feel intimidate to join the group.

With a puppy and three kids around me to see what I was doing, I was able to do 23, and I'm almost 28 years old. While I am average, my goal is excellent. Then again, I don't work out at all yet, and am trying to get into a routine, so plenty of time to work on this. Great test!
