This is a wonderful article that shows the power of motivation. Everyone needs a little help, a little push and a safe haven to vent frustration. This group will start a trend on Sparkpeople that will go on forever.
Nice to read that others are working toward a more fit and healthy lifestyle. There are countless stories here on Spark about fantastic weight loss. There are also some great teams that give one another the support and encouragement they need. One of my teams 60 and over with 100-200 lbs to lose, they are the most supportive I have ever known. Could I lose 626 lbs ? Yes if I had too, I lost 200 lbs. When you reach the bottom, there are no more excuses, you have only one way to go, climb out of the pit of obesity and once and for all live your life as it should be lived. Congrats for their private team. But congrats to all Spark members who have taken the first step and continue to keep on steppin'.
In the photo, I'd love to see 'normal' sized people. I looked at each of the people listed. I know for privacy you would not put their photos, but how about people who were successful --but not sized two!
Congrats to all. Wonderful to hear these ladies got together and accomlished this weight loss. An inspiration to myself and I am sure to many others. Good on You All and keep the spirit going.

I can relate to this perfectly. In my "real life", I am fairly well-known, and I was very hesitant to start posting about how much weight I needed to lose, or my trials/weaknesses, etc. Seeing how many other beautiful people were living the same thing brought me out of that. I'm so glad.
