  • Just what I needed. I have been losing my motivation this last month due to family visiting, birthday parties, our anniversary, vacation, and my buddy not being there and keeping me in check.

Today is a new day, and I will do it~
    Thanks so much!
    God's blessings..

  • I broke my arm about a month ago and lost all momentum. Since I'm right-handed and I broke my right arm, there was much I couldn't do and things that I could took a lot longer. I got very frustrated and discouraged, comfored myself with food, and really backslid on the exercise. The cast should come off in about a week but I can start with some of these suggestions today. This will definitely be a "favorite". Thanks!! - 3/26/2008 5:38:11 PM
  • Wow Nicole were you sitting in my head transcribing the thoughts onto paper. Thanks for a wonderful article. If I don't motivate from this.....then I must be dead. SP is a wost wonderful and caring place when trying to lose weight. When you think you've reached all you can do, suddenly there is a hand to pull you up in the form of an article, a friendly email etc. Eternally grateful to all the SP. - 3/26/2008 4:56:49 PM
THANK YOU - this was oh-so-perfectly timed! I've been stuck for about a year, just spinning my wheels, backsliding a bit.... No more - back to the work at hand! - 3/26/2008 2:34:22 PM
  • Thank you so much for this article! I'm such a perfectionist, totally all-or-nothing, but I'm trying to forgive myself if I mess up and just move on. - 3/26/2008 12:34:41 PM
  • Wow, all the team leaders should put this ain with a weekly challenge. And it should be mailed to those on the teams who haven't been active. Just to show we care! - 3/26/2008 10:40:28 AM
Great article! I really like the encouragement to do one or two things. That seems much more doable than trying to change everything at once. I needed to read this - thanks! - 3/26/2008 1:29:11 AM
  • Thanks! This popped into my mailbox at just the right time. - 3/25/2008 11:22:25 PM
  • Wow! I got this article right on time. Thanks so much for stopping the backslide!! - 3/25/2008 9:50:23 PM
  • Two more things: decide to let go of perfectionism--the biggest enemy of a diet and exercise program. Also: if you suspect you have fallen into depression, get it treated, or you will never find the motivation and energy to do anything else. - 3/25/2008 9:22:41 PM
  • One of your best articles, Nichole. I'm adding it to my favorites. I've tried every one of these suggestions at one time or another, but sometimes I still need a reminder of concrete steps to take when I'm feeling a bit wobbley. Thanks a bunch! - 3/25/2008 8:09:39 PM
  • Good practical suggestions...thanks! - 3/25/2008 7:47:17 PM
  • These are great ideas! I have been struggling to get back on track. I am going to do at least one of these things everyday until I can get momentum back. After this weekends easter candy binge I'm feeling pretty guilty and ready to take control again. - 3/25/2008 7:20:15 PM
  • perfect timing at this point into the year!! - 3/25/2008 5:03:37 PM
  • This article caught my eye - I've been recovering from back pain therapy and have done a 'backslide' to my weight loss goals as well! Hmmmmm, time to remember those good habits from SP! - 3/25/2008 2:49:25 PM
