I logged on this morning and was so sad because I have gained 5.5 pounds since I joined SP a couple months ago. I felt ready to give up. Then I saw the link to Today's Feature and felt it was written for me. Thank you so much for the encouragement and baby step suggestions. I am not giving up. I realize I have actually made some great successes... am drinking 8 glasses of water, going to the gym twice a week.. I may take your suggestion and start over, taking with me what I have already learned and accomplished thanks to SP. I am refocused.
This is a FANTASTIC Article to help Inspire and Motivate Anyone...I am going to add it to my Spark Page so that others can benefit from it as well...I know it will serve me well to have it as a constant reminder . Sometimes we all need a little extra encouragement. Thank you SparkPeople!
Yesterday, Thanksgiving, I ate too much even though I said I wasn't going to. So beginning right now at 3:00 am I am starting again. I refuse to let one day undo all the hard work I've put in. Thank you, that was a great article.
Thank you!!! I have been off the banwagon for the last 7 months. Ended up gaining all my weight back and then some. My saving grace was that I've kept SP as my homepage, although I thought about changing it a few times. I have just decided enough is enough 1 week ago. Goal: to lost 8-10 lbs by Nov. 5th. I've also recruited a couple of other women I get along with that have simaler goals. We work out together. Thanks for all the advice will save as fav. because this article is awesome to keep in the back pocket just in case.
Have you been standing in my rearview. It seems like this was weaved just for me, or you have heard all the excuses and this is what it boils down to - LOL. Thanks Nicole for all your encouragement and for your commitment to help others. Winnie-pooh
WOW Nichole, Have you been reading my mail, hiding around the corner in my rearview, or you have heard all the excuses and they all add up to this. That's me picture perfect along with some health sidebars. Even with the health issues, I probably would be better off in my recovery if I was still on track. However, I have 7 pounds of which I was not losing while exercising 3-4 days a week and eating better foods. Thanks for all your pointers and encouragement.
WOW! This article was just what I needed right when I needed it! I got so far off track today and I felt so bad about myself. This article has helped to remind me that all is far from being lost, and that I can wake up tomorrow and do better. In fact, I'll do better now-I'm off to pour myself a glass of water.

GREAT article! I got off track for about a month; barely maintaining - maybe gained a pound or two. It was feeling impossible to resume my "program" and the advice here helped my mind-set tremendously.
