I just found out today that any waxed freezer box, such as Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice and the like are not recyclable in my area, as well as in most areas in the country. I am really upset about this because these pre-packaged, pre-portioned meals are so helpful to dieters, but I hate to think how much waste is being generated by all of us that eat these meals. My challenge to you all is to see if we can get together and write some sort of petition to the companies that make these products encouraging them to come up with some sort of alternative packaging that can be recycled.
