I'm into week 3 - running for 3 minutes at a time. Wow. I never would've thought I could do it and I love it. I'm excited to try week 4. After that, I'm terrified ;) Good luck to you all. Keep in touch with how its going for you.

I started doing the Couch to 5k back in early May. It's a great program. You start out by running for just 60 seconds then walking for 60 seconds. Over 9 weeks you get up to running 30 minutes or 3 miles three times a week.

Unfortunately, I was injured in late May (not from running) and only made it through the first 3 weeks of the program. The doctor said I needed to take a month break from high impact activities, such as running. I will resume the program next Thursday. I can't wait to restart the program.

I started doing that program in January of this year. It really improved my ability and strength. I actually stopped running right at the end of it because I got super busy. I have been meaning to start up again but have not had much time. I would definitely recommend you try it, it really helped me. There are also sparkteams dealing with this as well. You should check them out.

I'm not in the program currently but I just wanted to send my C25K well wishes. I started C25K on Jan 1st and "graduated" on March 4th by running my very first 5k race. Since then I've gone on to run a 10K and I'm currently training for a marathon coming up in December. I am living proof that this program works. Stick with it and you'll be able to do your own 5k in a few weeks!

Is anyone else doing this? Where are you in the program? Are you having success?
