Boot camp is now over, it was great having a physical group to help motivate. Online buddies are great motivaters, but not out there in the heat by your side to encourage you to keep going.

I'm now doing a "Couch to 5-K" program on another thread here in another challenge. Hope you all continue to check in every once in a while. I'm missing you all!!!

Wow, I'm in the last week of "Boot Camp" at the YMCA. It's hard to believe it's been six weeks!! My plan is to keep up my own exercise routine for the next six weeks, then sign up for another six weeks of Boot Camp.

While I have lost a couple of inches in the waist and toned up all over, I didn't really loose any pounds. That's ok. This next six weeks is going to be focused on weight loss with enough weights to keep the tone I've developed.

I'm not giving up on myself, or this thread...where is everyone? Shopping for bikinis?

I'm doing great... I'm trying hard so if we go to san antonio, tx for vacations in the last days of this month, I can wear a nice swimsuit at six flags or sea world

I am having so much fun in the Boot Camp program at the YMCA. I have finally gotten over the sore muscles and am now pushing myself to do more. I can finally do real push-ups, not the girlie style, can ALMOST jog a mile and can do all sorts of exercises that I was a weenie at a month ago. Oh, and the best part, I can see it! In my arms, my legs, my stomach, that muffin top is disappearing, as are the saddlebags and the droopy arms! No special weights, no fancy machines, just me!

I'm still not in a bikini, but feel much better in a swimsuit!

How is everyone else doing? I miss you all and want to hear from you!

I have determined that I have a "six-pack" it's just enclosed in an outer protective layer!!

Rodesita, how did you end up with your goal?
I still can't seem to get the scale to move, but the tape measure is, so I'm not going to worry about the scale numbers.

I have a bike ride this weekend. Not too long, it's a 14 mile trek that should be fun without being overwhelming in the heat. I did 6 last night, but that was after a full days work, and an hour at "boot camp", so I think with a good night's sleep and a fresh attitude 14 miles will be good.

How's everyone else? I miss hearing from you all!!

You're not alone, I'm here So, tomorrow I'll be finishing a goal, or may be not, but I'm feeling great and if I don't reach this second goal (I didn't make the first one, I was 2 lbs away), I'll keep trying harder and harder.
Body beach, here we go!!!!

Where is everyone? I just have to guess that you all have accomplished your beach body and have moved on to something else. Me? I am not quite there yet, so I'm still here posting my progress or regress whichever the case may be.

I spent yesterday on the river, what a day for it...hot. I kayaked for about 5 hours, for a total of about 9 miles. I am a little sore today, but it sure didn't seem like work when I was out there!! That's the kind of exercise I love!

Boot Camp is kicking my butt....but in a good way. Wow, it's tough but I feel great for doing it!
Divegoddess you hang in there, you are doing great with your activity level, you must have to have a very strong healthy heart!

I think my problem is that I look pretty good in clothes that hide all the flabby stuff. There's a word in Japanese that doesn't exist in English "kiyase" which means you look thin in clothes. So my Japanese customers see me in a bathing suit most of the day and they are shocked when they see me in street clothes, because I look 20 lbs thinner...

Ok, I put the ticker back but I went down half a pound again. This is so frustrating! Another pair of pants goes into the "too tight" pile!

My weight is back up to 98, which is my starting weight. I guess I'll have to put the ticker back. I'm getting a bit frustrated since I'm working really hard at this. My pants are getting tighter!

Today i was exhausted but I went to capoeira, danced the samba and walked for 3 miles...

Hey all, Happy Friday!

I've made it through 4 days of Boot Camp! This has really helped my motivation and drive to become what I want to be. It's amazing how group interaction can motivate and make me want to push myself so much more than working out alone!

My weight hasn't changed this week, but I am seeing some new muscle definition, and that is more exciting than any old scale number.

How is everyone else doing?

Still here. I've been doing a lot of capoeira recently. I need more practice to get the moves right but to me it's more intense than any othr cardio I do.
Carol, I did a bootcamp class 2 years ago, it was at 6 am 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I didn't lose any weight but it kicked butt. A woman in my class lost 15 pounds, without changing her eating plans. I was at my usual or ideal weight then, so that's probably why I didn't lose any weight.

I'm joining here! I'm in the summer challenge, and it'll be ended next week, so I want to look great for my 30th bithday, july 28th, so I want to reach my 115 lbs goal for that date, and although it could be difficult 'coz I'm a nursing mom, at least I wanna fit in my green dress again, and be slimmer, make a lot of exercise and eat well so I can back to buying petite sizes, as before my wedding. I got married in a size 12 regular, and I was currently a size 6 petite... too bad, uh? Well, I'm doing great for now, but I'm sure the last pounds are the worse to lose... hope we can do it together! my success is yours too!

Congrats on surviving and going back for more Carol. I did 65 crunches last night. I work 2 jobs and have a family so if you count 4 hours of retail exercise then I did that as well, HAHAHA!! I walk almost everyday with a friend at lunch. We are able to walk about 2 miles. I am going out of town this weekend to see my dad for fathers day and I am sure it won't be a very healthy one. But hopefully back at it on monday. Hope everyone is doing well. I will have to post my weight tomorrow instead of friday this week.

Where did everyone go? Are you sleeping?

I made it through my second day of "Boot Camp" at the local YMCA. Let me just say that I'm so sore, all over, that every time I rolled over in bed I woke myself up! Ouch. I'm either very motivated, or not just right because I'm going back for more today! I think a couple more days and I'll start looking forward to it. Sir yes Sir!

WOW,if I don't fit into my size 4's after "Basic Training" I'm throwing them away! Our first class consisted of pushups, situps, jumping jacks, side winders among other things I don't even know the names of. And to top it all off, we ran a mile....yup, first day! My muscles ache today, but I'm going back for more!

Welcome AJONES! I have found that I have to switch my focus every few weeks to stay motivated. I get really into something and am so psyched about it for a few weeks, then tend to loose focus. So, with that said, I have committed myself to the "Boot Camp" program at the Y. It's a 6 week program, 4 days a week for an hour a day of intense workout. It starts today! I have not seen the scale move much in the last few weeks, although the tape measure has and that's good. I need a good swift kick in the ____ and think this Boot Camp will do it!

I am new to this site and am looking for some motivation. At my job we did a biggest loser contest for the last two months and I started out pretty good but am losing steam, and the contest is over this friday. I don't have much time to exercise, but am hoping to get more in as the weather is getting nicer.

This weekend, Sat and Sunday I went to a yoga retreat and did 5 hours of yoga each day. I was all ambitious and wanted to do cardio as well, but didn't get that in.

The kitties are doing well, they are all over the place now, chasing eachother and climbing on me. One is on my lap trying to get on the keybaord now. They are 5 weeks old, and they eat often so I had to come home between the morning session and afternoon session of my yoga to feed them. I can't leave food out because Guam has an ant infestation problem. (I don't use pesticideds). Thye kept me up all night last night, deciding to play with my feet at 2 am, then again at 4 am. I want to take pics of them but my charger to my camera is no good and since I bought the camera in Japan, they don't sell the same charger here. I am getting attached to them but I can't keep them since I'll be traveling a lot this year. I need to find someone who will allow me to visit them often. I can watch them play for hours.

So this weekend, I only did yoga, except today I also did 200 crunches and 20 push-ups. My weight keeps fluctuating between 96.5 and 98, but I think my quads are getting more definition. My diet kinda sucked the last few days, I ate within the range but I ate unhealthy food(cookies, chocolate)

Well, yesterday, I guess because I lost my mind...lol I decided to do extra compared to my normal workout (30 min cardio and 20 min strength training.) I did 50 push ups and 150 crunches, then was surfing through my exercisetv with comcast On-Demand and decided to do cardio with Bob harper (from Biggest Loser) and yeah, he did more push-ups (12) and more crunches, as well as squats balance etc, so I am REALLY feeling it today... even though the scale has yet to budge.... ahhh!! :)

Welcome new people! I kept falling off the wagon too, and posting my weigh-ins and my exercise has really helped me stay honest with myself. It also helps me see what I'm doing right or wrong.

Yesterday I took it easy. I did some light water aerobics in the pool, but was still tired from the long ride on Tues.

Divegoddess how are the kitties? Will you keep them? Kittens are sooooo cute, I just love them all.

I hope it's not too late to join in. I would love to lose a little jiggle in the middle and rear. I will weigh in once a week and see where it gets me. I keep falling off the wagon. so maybe forcing myself to tell you all how much I weigh each week will help.
