I started a little early and rode my bike to the market yesterday.

| I'm in. I think this is a great idea. I read the editorial in our not-so-big town and can't believe people aren't protesting the price of gas. They write in about everything else.

I live in Rural America, but will make a point not to buy gas on that day. I will also send bulk emails to my friends.
Thanks for the challenge because I didn't see it elswhere.

Count me in. I will not even start up the car. I'll ride my bike to work or take the bus if the weather is too much.

I Agree, we should not buy gas on May 15th, I have passed this on to all I know. I will not buy gas from Mobil or Exxon. Gas is way too high. Hope everyone participates. We can make a difference!!!!

| Hi-- I've seen this several times, and we should absolutely try it. I also got another email from a friend saying that we should NOT buy gas EVER from Mobil or Exxon-- the theory is that since they're the two largest companies, a big slip in demand for their product will cause them to lower there pricing, which in turn will drive gas prices down. Makes perfectly good sense to me-- I will never buy gas from either of them.

I realize this is off the weight-loss track, but what if we all could
or or even to work? Pump up those Pedometer numbers!!
Last night, when I upgraded my cel phone, the gentleman who assisted me said "Pump No Gas on Tuesday, May 15". So, I checked it out this morning online and the request is everywhere! With gas prices what they are, I plan on pumping on Monday. If the prices drop back to $3.00 a gallon, it would make a difference! With billions of dollars of profit pouring into the gas companies, could it hurt?
 Grassroot movements work! Here is the posting everywhere on the internet. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NO GAS ... On May 15th 2007 ... Don't pump gas on MAY 15th
In April 1997, here was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places. There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up. If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.
