Cruisintolose, I am with you I have been tired for the last couple of days. Yesterday was the worst, I didn't work out until 9p.m. and I had to really push myself to do it. I hope that it gets better.

uh-oh.... I'm on a work trip, and I ate (and drank -- which I really don't do) too much... back on track tomorrow! And the hotel gym was closed by the time I got back. ARGH!

Ya know, Karen, I live in Houston, TX - AKA: allergy central! I have year-round allergies, but I bet that with all the gunk in the air, it just MIGHT be that! I'm usually within my range on carbs. I was under on Saturday (not enough beer, I guess) but I'm usually middle of the road.

Guess that just dwindles it down to one thing, other than the allergies, huh!?: get up off my dead A**

Swalkere, OMG, I'm LMAO! OK, I hear ya on the morning thing cuz I'm pretty much the same way (hehe). It sounds like you're doing everything right tho. Do you live in an area where "things" are starting to bloom? Could allergy season be setting in? I guess everyone is entitled to feel tired once in a while... You're right about the workouts though, they do tend to help. Are you getting enough carbs?

Welcome, Tonya.

Karen, I've actually been off the caffeine for a while (about 2-3 months) but this tiredness has popped up in the past 2 weeks or so. I had a partial hysterectomy 2 years ago - so TTOM can't be blamed either. And, GIRRRL, I am SO NOT a morning person. Wow. Asking me to do cardio in the AM is barely escaping death... My husband says, "sometimes I wake up grumpy in the morning, but usually I just try to let her sleep".

I know I need to get back into the gym - and the exercise will increase the duration of my stage 4 sleep, but I need something today!!!!! Man, have I been tired. On the water, I usually get my 8 glasses even before lunch! So I'm drinking [the good stuff] like a guppy.

Welcome Pat and Tonya!!

I'm with you, Debbie. I've been slagging for a few months now, and all of a sudden I have a renewed desire to reach my goal. I did 3.5 miles on the treadmill this morning! Yay!

Swalkere, hang in there. We're going to get past this. It's interesting that you and I started in relatively the same place and also reached a plateau in the same place. Have you re-evaluated your spark program lately? I gave mine a complete overhaul. We'll see where it goes. As far as being tired from lack of caffeine... give it time. Drink lots of water in the morning and if you can, get a little cardio in. It's tough to get started, but it really wakes you up. That sleepy feeling will go away in time. How long since you gave up the caffeine? It took me several weeks to finally feel better.

Hey all! I did the Christmas Challenge when I first started in November 2006. I did great and then fell off in January. I am back now and am doing so so. I feel that if I do a challenge I will be more motivated. I will definitely be buying myself a new outfit if I complete the challenge. I hope to loose 12 lbs by May13. I weigh in tomorrow and will start there, so I will post that weight then. I need a bit of extra support, if anyone would be kind enough to look at my sparkpage and add a comment, I could really use it. I appreciate you gals.

SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPY.....................

I am SO sleepy today (actually, I have been sleepy each workday morning lately). I get plenty of rest usually; Monday night was cut pretty short - but, overall, I'm back to my 7 hours of healthy, restful sleep I've basically cut caffeine out of my diet (~1-2 20 oz bottles Diet Dr Pepper per week)...so what in the world do I do to WAKE UP!!??

What do you guys do to help yourself wake/rejuvinate during the day (no caffeine or naps)?

Hi,
I would like to join this challenge. My starting weight is 219 and I would like to get down as close to 200 as possible by Mother's Day.

I will weigh in on Fridays.

Hi All!
My Spark has been rekindled the last few days with this new challenge, and I have the same determination and self-control as when I first started in August. That's really incredible because I've been on a plateau since New Year's Day. I wonder if spring has anything to do with it. Anyway, I'm thinking today is going to be another good day!

Also, Angie, you could try out the 5-minute mini-workout sessions SP raised in one of the daily articles (http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=399). I found that I actually enjoy giving my sore tailbone a rest to get up and do some of these little exercises! Too, C2L raised the treadmill thing. I don't have a treadmill and would have to go to the gym to effect that; however, I work downtown and there is the building, outside and a tunnel system below ground where I can take a 'mental break', and at the same time WALK! I, too, need to get off my butt (so my words of encouragement here are meant not only for you but also for me!).

Hey Angie, what do you do for exercise? I usually walk/jog on the treadmill. I'm on a team where there's a 15min a day challenge... doesn't sound like much, but it gets you going. I'm just starting to get back to exercising after taking about a month off... it hasn't been easy. The other day I was so sore I just didn't want to do it AT ALL (although that's most days, lol). Anyway, I thought of that 15 min challenge and decided I could at least do that... So, I got on and ended up staying there for 30 min. Not bad. Maybe you could try something like that to help you get started? 10 or 15 min doesn't sound so painful, ya know?

Hi everyone! Just checking in for today. Well, I STILL haven't begun exercising again. I need my butt kicked. Someone please yell at me! BUT I have been posting my foods eaten here at SP for a whole week now and have only gone off plan one day, which I'm very proud of.

Great job on the loss Heatherltw! Good start for sure!

Carolyn (Cassateen), check out my recipe blog - cut and paste the link below into your address line. I just started that this month and am really excited about it. I'm all about easy, fast, healthy recipes. No time to spend hrs in the kitchen!

Hi AllAboutMe! Wonderful weight loss you've had! I began last year at 325 and stalled out for a lot longer than you and am now back up on the wagon as well. Here's to never giving up!

APJCPT - wow, you have a lot going on as well! Good luck with all that running around. Sounds like a lot of fun though. They'll be so cute in the play it'll all be worth it. Good exercise in the snow shoveling - won't have to worry about that for much longer!

Good luck while on the road, Floral! And I wish you luck at the scales on Saturday too.

Swalkere, sorry you had to go thru so many mamms. Hope all is fine.

Anyone else I missed, howdy and have a wonderful day as well! I'm off to work now. DO yell at my about working out. If I don't get up and do something my butt will be permanently in the shape of this chair.

Take care, Angie

Hey Ladies. Where'd the time go? I can't belive it's been weeks since I've been on here. I went to post on the other board and couldn't believe the challenge was up already. I think I'm out of my fog. Michelle, congrats (I know it's late) on Prevention magazine. The mags are hard to find, but I did check the article online out.
Karen, how's it going???? Hopefully, this will be a better challenge for both of us. I started my morning workouts on Monday and walking at lunch. After weighing in at 288 on Monday I figured enough is a enough. I hadn't weighed myself in weeks. I took a hard look at myself and could tell I'd picked up a few pounds. Sunday my weight was 290. That's up 11.5 pounds since the end of the Kisses challenge. Monday's weight is better. Its amazing how quickly we fall into our old habits.
So, I'm taking a deep breath and continuing my journey. I'll weigh in on Mondays as usual.

Hi Ladies!

I've been procrastinating on the workout - big time - today. I'm on my way to try to do an hour of cardio. Gotta get moving! Every day counts. Right?

Swalkere - I hope all goes well with all those tests. Not fun stuff. (((Hugs)))

Have a great day everyone!

Well off to a better start than I thought. Had an unexpected 45 minutes of hard snow shoveling when I got to work! Good thing because exercise is going to be hard to come by for the next 2 weeks. All 4 kids are in Beauty & Beast musical--which means alot more running around for me and then trying to work in all their other acitivites and homework. Plus I was just put in charge of making a minimum of 600 chocolate rose lollipops to sell at the shows!!!So any little bit of exercise is welcomed! Hope everyone has a good day!

Today will be a good day. I've noticed, too, that when I have a weight of xxx.5, the tracker at the bottom usually rounds up, but sometimes, it shows it as true...it doesn't seem to want to make up its mind... Like now on my ticker it shows the 145.5 (as it should!) but Sunday it was showing 146. Weird.

Went for my first mammogram and breast ultrasound yesterday...doc thinks I may have 'fibrocystic breast disease' (not really a disease, just a condition that most of us get between 30 and 50). Mammo on left was reshot 2 additional times - hoping they just wanted more angles. Right went great. Then U/S - I have NO idea what in the world they're looking at on that one!!!! My accountant eyes saw nothing but snow like on the old black and white tvs! Doc says I can do cardio but she doesn't want me to do any upper body weights until I hear back from her (because of my ultra-sensitivity and constant dull pain). I think I'm going to go to the gym tomorrow and do legs and then the treadmill and bike to get the cardio in.

You guys have a great day!

That's so not fair! I always round down to the most flattering number.

Had a rotten night last night. Here's to a perfect day on plan! I really have to get moving with my exercise. I might have to wait til American Idol tonight to jump on the elliptical as I'm shooting for a 12 hour day at work here. How are you all this morning?
