| It's awesome that you want to move on and get that new chapter going. I'll definitely be thinking about you through the holidays!

Thanks Jen! My kids are grown and I have 2 granddaughters (4 and 1), but I have really been thinking about how holidays could be less stressful and more fun for my kids. The idea of reminiscing is a great one! I'll have to start finding some pictures. On the other hand, we have some painful memories associated with past- especially around holidays, so we are working at writing a new chapter in our family life now. Still, there are always good memories to hold on to. I have a business too, but it slows down through the holidays, so I'm looking forward to a breather.

Hi there Northernfire... Sounds like you already have a fabulous holiday planned with family and friends. I look forward to taking pictures and scrapbooking. I also look forward to holiday sales in my business. I've tried to immerse myself more into those types of things so that I don't get sidetracked by the sweets and fat laden foods. I also look forward to remembering with my 3 teenagers about holidays that have already passed. It's always fun to think of one thing that someone did that was silly years ago. Hope your holiday is AWESOME! Jen

This is a challenge for myself, but I thought maybe someone else would like to join me. How many non-food things can be found to look forward to in the up-coming holiday season?
I am trying to transition from my old food-focused approach to holidays to the new healthier me, so I can have something good to hold onto when January 1 (my SP 1st anniversary) rolls around once again.
To start: I look forward to time with people I care about and who care about me. Not all of the people I meet will fit into that category but I would like to find as much time as possible to enjoy those that do and to think creatively about other ways we can spend time together besides eating. For example, I'm looking for some fun games we could play together when our family members gather for big dinners.
