I think you need to have a serious talk with your employer. Every person is entitled to a least a 15 minute break for every 4 hours that you work. You should have that time to relax your mind, refresh yourself, and (if needed) get a little exercise. My co-workers and I had to stand up to the Corporate Office and plead our case. I know how hard it can be but it's necessary. You need the opportunity to tune out a couple of minutes every day!

Good luck!

Katz, I agree with Stitch, if your husband is supporting you in this and/or your children are old enough, and of course if you are a morning person then get up earlier by about 30-40 minutes if you want to work out at home (before any kids get up) or leave the house to exercise. It will actually help you be more energetic at the end of the day.

Me personally, I am definately NOT person, so I go straight from work to the gym. And yes I am exhausted but once I start I have more than enough energy to finish. One benifit of evening exercise is that I have had insomnia for years and am finally sleeping longer and better than I ever have! Good luck! and remeber sometimes us Mom's have to take care of ourself and set aside me time (or in this case exercise) and stick with it. The family will adjust and after awhile will actually appreciate it. You will be calmer and actually happier (especially after loosing more weight..I don't mean as an inuult just that as the pound melt of you actually are happier with yourself) and your family will definately approve. Good luck and talk later.

Could you stop somewhere on your way home to exercise? Like a park, mall or rec center? Even a 20-30 minute walk would help. Also, you say you have tried in the morning but get interupted--do you have young children? Or would it be possible to get up and go for a walk early in the am--they can't interupt you if you aren't there. Even 10 minutes here and there can help. Do squats when putting away groceries. Pace or walk in place while you talk on the phone. Run up and down the stairs a few times--or if you have stairs in your home you could get in the habit of taking only 1 thing at a time--thus more trips =) I wish you luck!

I am looking for ideas, tips, tricks, hints, suggestions..... anything you can offer!

I NEED to find the motivation (and time) for EXERCISE!

I am soooooooo un-motivated these days. Work leaves me exhausted, plus running kids everywhere for before & after school activities leaves me crawling for my bed when I get home.

I work in an office with anything but a pleasant atmosphere. I am so busy at work that I have to set reminders on my computer to remind me to eat and drink. I am afraid to even attempt the office workout shown on Spark People for fear of being told I am being "totally unprofessional." walking during lunch is no longer an otion for me since I am working through my lunch breaks. walking at work was never a great idea considering the rather unpleasant industrial area in which my office is located.

I tried to exercise before work, but was constantly interrupted by everyone else getting up and getting ready for the day and all of them needing my help when they saw me out of bed.

I try to keep moving as much as possible by doing things such as parking far from the store, carrying groceries in only one or two bags at time, etc.

Please share your exercise idea, programs, and/or routines!
