Hi there!
This will be my first RAGBRAI. I've only been riding for 4 months. I started in February at BURR (that ride was awful) and now I am hooked ;-). However, because of my job/kids I am only riding one day, Waukee to Newton. But I am very excited and I hear that once I get a taste of this ride I will never be able to do just one day ever again.

That's too bad, I hope you are feeling better! That's good you found a buddy to motivate you. I'm going to try and train around Ohio this summer - thanks for the invite though!

Thanks for the note! Didn't do too well this week - got hit by a cold which put me on my back for a couple of days along with two sick little boys. I did find another Mom through the RAGBRAI message boards and we are setting goals each week to train together. We are going to try for an hour and 1/2 next week on the indoor trainer.
Who says you need to be in Iowa to go?!?! I live in Minnesota and the Mom I'm training with actually lives in Montana!!! She's coming out all by herself to ride!!!
Thanks again!

Hi Jenn
How are things going with your training? If I lived in Iowa I would join you, I love to bike ride. I'm thinking about riding across country someday. If I do, I'll make sure to stop through Iowa and say hi!

Anyone out there participating in RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) this year? (see www.ragbrai.org for details)
My husband and I will be attending with our team the Bush Pigs again this year. It's been several years since I've gone (due to having two beautiful boys) and it's time to get back into the biking groove!
I challenge anyone else interested to train with me ;-) It's winter here where I am right now but I'm working with free weights and doing cardio until I can hit the bike outside (or convince my husband to put my bike on the trainer instead of his - hee hee).
Hope there's some RAGBRAI'ers out there to make training season more enjoyable!!!
Take care and RIDE HARD Jenn
