Last week, the doctor said we should incorporate more "plant-based" foods in our diet, so I thought this might be a good way to start. I checked out the USDA web site to look at the new food pyramid, and it says I should get 2.5 cups of vegetables and 1.5 cups of fruit a day. 3-5 fruits and vegetables sounds easier to track, but like it might be roughly the same amount.

Anyone with me?

Anyway, here are the fruits and vegetables from yesterday:

1. stir-fried onions, peppers and squash at lunch
2. broccoli in a casserole for dinner
3. sweet potatoes for dinner

(I'm guessing the cranberries in the muffins don't really count.)
