Yes that advise does help. I just need to stay on track and continue changing my lifestyle and not focus on short term satisfaction like the scale moving down. I will give it a longer time before I get concerned about the scale. Thanks so much.

Weight loss can be really unpredictable. Some weeks you may not lose at all, other weeks you may lose more than you expect. It's really important not to get so focused on the scale that a "bad" week destroys your motivation. Are you keeping track of other things as well, like your measurements, how your clothes are fitting, how you're fveeling, your ability to do more exercise, improvements in any health issues, etc.? These kinds of things will keep you going and help you avoid panicking when the scale isn't cooperating.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the encouragement for what I am doing. I know its way to soon to worry about not seeing the scale move. I just panic alittle. Should it move a few pounds at least in the next week? I was used to seeing it move almost daily for the last 8 weeks.

Sounds like you're doing great! Don't try to speed things up by going too low on calories--that can easily backfire on you and slow down fat loss. It looks like you're averaging about 3 pounds per week loss right now, which is OK at first when you have quite a bit to lose. It will probably slow down a little as your weight drops--2 pounds per week is a good overall average. Losing faster than that usually results in regaining the lost weight once you go back to "normal" eating.

You can keep boosting the amount and intensity of your exercise as your improving fitness allows, to keep things rolling. A little variety in the type of exercise you do will also help you avoid getting stuck on a weight plateau.

Hope this helps.

I have lost 10.70% body fat in the last 5 weeks, is that an average loss rate or should I adjust something in my diet/workout? I am eager to get down soon than later. My beginning was 59.50% body fat and now its 48.80% body fat. I want to get it down as much as possible by the end of May 2007
