Great - I am in! I will look for it now -
I lost 12 pounds - and about half my hair! for some reason I lost a lot of it - but it seems to have slowed down. I think I wasn' t eating enough fat. You would think I could just use the fat off my thighs!!! wish it were that easy!
My exercise was horrible - not consistent at all....
well girls - on to the next challenge - thanks for being here!!!!

Ok guys created a new thread !!! Find us our lil family @ 10 weeks till Christmas challenge !!!! It starts today !!
I will save it on my sparkpage in case you cant find the thread !
I lost 7.8 lbs with the help of you guys and although its about half what my goal was its still weight loss!!! New challenge up maybe ill lose half of 20 lol. Id still be happy with losing the weight.

A 10 week Christmas challenge sounds great. How much should we shoot for? I haven't added up my measurements for the 8 weeks, but my weight as of Friday was 10 pounds but since I was so bad this weekend the end total is 8 pounds! I have to be more consistant on the new challenge, I want some extra cute Christmas photos!! Maybe a cute little red dress with a Santa hat! What cha think?

Wow - that's great that you had such a good time - welcome back!
I haven't heard anything about the thread - but since yesterday was the 8th - we should all report on how we did for the 8 weeks to celebrate our success - even if it wasn't 16 lbs! I have to go figure it out (i have to go get my journal)....how 'bout you guys?
What do you think about doing a 10 week 'Christmas' challenge - starting Wednesday (to give a few days to put it out there) - then we can take two weeks to pig out during the holidays :)

Hey Guys I'm back!! I had a great time! I don't care if you're a fan of nascar or not if you get the chance to go to a race you have to go!!It's awesome!! I overate the entire weekend though!! I mean I seriously overate!! I weighed this morning and I gained 2 pounds!! Any word on the new thread?

Sounds great!! Just as long as everyone goes!! We have to stick together!! I'm going to Alabama to the Talledega Nascar race!! No kids!! I'm soo excited I could scream!! Hopefully I can control my eating though we've got a big group going and I'm sure we'll be eating out ALOT!! UGH!! Well, everyone have a great weekend I'll check back in on Monday!

Hi All - MZANGEL - where are you going? Have a great trip wherever it may be! - Glad you are filling better Buttap - it's a drag when things get you down that are beyond your control...
It would be great if you wanted to start a new thread - I just don't want to lose you guys -right now I just set my new goal for 10 lbs in 5 weeks. That is pretty strict - and it is hard with the weather changing because I tend to want to eat more carbs - but I want to keep small goals that we keep reaching for. We are all making progress - even if it isn't as fast as we want.
So - what do you think - new thread to invite a few more people in?

I had a pretty good day food wise and I actually got excersise in!! I walked 3 miles, it was because my car broke down 3 miles from my house but I walked it!! LOL!! I guess I should break down more often huh?!! Well guys, I leave for my vacation tomorrow!! I wanted to lose the full 16 before I went but I'll take the 10!! Thank you so much for everyone's support!! I couldn't do this without you guys!!

HI guys I was out of commisiion for real. Sorry for not responding to evereyone but its been bad. BUT now Im back. :) We can keep this going for as long as we need to. Maybe we should start a new thread and gain some new people in too. My back has been killing me so ive been avoiding the gym. But Im afraid I wont lose anything if i dont get back on my saddle. Its been 2 weeks since I injured it. I have my gym things today maybe Ill get wnough courage to make it happen. I will click my heels or sneakers or tennis shoes 3 times theres no place like the gym theres no place like the gym theres no place like the gym.

Had a fun birthday weekend with little indulgences here and there - but back on the wagon today - must admit it was hard to get going...definately a Monday...

I say we keep this going for as long as everyone needs it!! It helps so much being able to talk to everyone! I'm sorry you've been so stressed I hope the new job is less stressful for you!! I too do the stress eating it's tough to quit!!

hi all.....hope you feel better buttap. I have been MIA lately. Lot going on, switching jobs which will hopefully relieve some stress, gearing up to get back into full swing with weight loss and excercise but I seem to be stuck in a rut. My body isn't listening to my head but I am to blame for that as well. I have been stress eating big time and admit it. Only 5 more days left at my current job and then hopefully on to bigger and better. i would love to keep this going for another month....i really enjoy reading the post and the encouragement. Thanks again.

I'm so excited I had to share!! My progress in the last few weeks has been slow and I was alittle discouraged, I got up this morning and weighed, 1 pound, which seems to be the trend lately. Well, then I did my measurements which I haven't done in a couple of weeks and I lost 1 1/2 in my waist!! For the first time in a long time my waist is actually smaller than my hips!! Woo Hoo!!

Well I went to 2 birthday parties today and have to go to 2 more tomorrow!! I didn't do too bad with the yummy finger foods that were there, just ate a small amount. Was proud of myself then I came home and ate a turkey sandwich for supper which was good, then my husband comes in with fried shrimp, oysters, hushpuppies and stuffed crab!!! I'm sooo ashamed of myself but damn it, it was good!!!

It's pretty much the same for me - it is really hard to fit exercise in during the week. I end up being really active on the week-ends but I know I have to fit in a middle week something...Maybe if we just aimed to have one good workout in the middle of the week and tried to stick with that - I know I get down on myself for not seemingly doing anything during the week...

these last 2 weeks have been trying. I have had nothing but obstacles not allowing me to workout. Last week my back was out. This week I worked out Monday Tuesday I had parent teacher Wednesday I had a meeting Thursday my son has Karate. Friday Im having dinner with friends, Im stuck in a rut. My job is demanding during the day. If I wake up any earliar to workout .... well anyway you get the picture. NOt trying to complain but DAYAM. Gotta think of a master plan.

That sounds like a great idea!! I definitely want to keep it going! I know what you mean with the clothes too, I've got a closet full of clothes that are either too big or too small!! I don't want to go out and buy now cuz I don't plan on being in this size long either!! What to do?!! Well, like you said it could be worse!! Howdy - sorry - thanks for the push -life is just busy - but good. I weigh in on Wednesday - my birthday is on Friday so I am hoping to break the 170 by then...I am at that in between place with clothes these days - I want to burn my fat clothes but I can't find anything I like. Don't want to buy any clothes because I want to lose more....life could be worse:)
I am glad that you guys have stuck with the posting - I read them all the time and it feels good to know you are there...the challenge is almost over! I've been looking at other challenges but so many peopel post to them - are you all thinking that you are going to do another one? I am going to see my family on November 10th - what do you think about going for another month? It seems like we have all been making progress -

Well, I stayed the same this week too!! I'm not gonna beat myself up though! I've lost 26 pounds in 2 1/2 months! That's something and my biggest problem in the past has been maintaining when I lose! I've actually been doing that this time! I've just got to step it up again to lose the rest of what I want to lose! Well, thanks to everyone that's been keeping in touch your support helps so much!!

OK - a little less than a pound this week but I fel good - went away for the weekend and ate more protein that I normally do - but I also went to TWO all you can eat places - but I didn't eat all I could eat - control can happen! :)

Wow!! You are obviously a great Mom!! I know it had to of felt wonderful to hear your baby get up there and talk about you like that. It makes all those sleepless nights of worry worthwhile!! Don't worry so much about the weight, it'll come off in time!! Be patient and keep working at it!!

Hi all....I have been MIA for a bit with a rough patch hopefully behind me.

Sidebar - Today at my son's school they had an assembly for 9/11 and he was chosen to speak to the entire school about his hero. It was ME. So I was the beaming mom. Only 2 kids in the entire school got to read their essay and I had no clue about it until he told me friday he would be doing a presentation at assembly and asked if i would be there. Of course I had to show up...what kind of hero would i be?

But I have been staying pretty stagnant with the weight....havent gained but haven't lost.

I think my mini goal is to get to the gym 5 times this week for at least 30 minutes on the days I don't train with my trainer. Today counts!

I just got back on after a few weeks of starting back to work teaching. I have been hanging in there but not doing too great. I'm in on the challenge. I think I'll try for 10 lbs by 10-11-06. If I could do that I would be soooo pumped. Thanks for encouraging me and others. Good luck to you!!
