Hi all Challengee's
I was off line in more than one way yesterday, so did not meet the challenge for the second day of the weekend. I am back on track today however.
I did a longer run this morning, and have gotten in more than 1/2 of my water so far. I will also do the crunches and push-ups (they are on my exercise plan for today anyway!!) I'm going to stay within my food guidlines, I'm going to stay within my food guidelines, I'm going to stay within my food guidlines!!!! LOL
Lindskd- good for you getting started with the challenge so early this morning!
TSMarie- So sorry about your pain... Is this something that you have been dealing with for a while??
Modemama- weekends are really tough for me too-- the schedule is all messed up, and it seems like it is always mealtime... (and of course I love to EAT!!) Anything you plan to do differently next weekend?
JBaldwin- Good for you doing the walking and getting most of your water in over the weekend. Small steps will get you to your goal.
OnMyWeigh- GREAT WORK!! I'm hoping I will be on track at the end of today too!!
I will check in this evening to confirm that I met this challenge!!
Have a great afternoon all!!

1/2 cup of fruit does equal one serving, right?
If so, I've already got my 5 fruits for the day! Two cups of watermelon for breakfast...I was SUPER hungry; and a peach with lunch.
I've also had 4 cups of water, so I'm half way done with that one too!

Hey! I'm on the list twice. Does this mean I have to lose 14 lbs? lol
I didn't realize that there were going to be daily challenges so I didn't track over the weekend. BUT I did drink 10 glasses of water on Saturday and spent most of the day walking around with my FI. Didn't formally exercise but we were on the go constantly.
Yesterday, also did a lot of walking around. Missed my water goal.
I will post tonight what today's activity was.
Oh, I am NOT quitting.
|
|
|
|
1.I am NOT quitting this challenge! I am going all the way. One Down
2. So far I have had 2 servings of fruit, only three more.
3. Push-ups will be done later
4. Same with crunches
5. This calorie range is kicking my butt, but so far, so good today! But I need to start on my water, I always leave it till later in the day... not good. I will post again later on.

My goal is to get to 220 by the end of July.
I really went overboard on calories on Saturday and Sunday. Grr.... weekends always do me in.

Well, I was planning on doing the push-ups after dinner, but I did them about 5 mintues ago instead. Guess something moved me.
6 glasses of water so far. 2 glasses of diet lipton green tea.
265 calories and working on it.
3&1/2 servings of fruit.
|
|
|
|
| Not sure if I'll get in the exercises today as I'm doing heavy cleaning and painting rooms, but I'll try. The water is definately not a problem as I usually drink 10 glasses a day anyway
|
|
|
|
I guess I didn't do all the challenges this weekend. I drank at least 7 cups of water maybe more. Sat and Sun are my rest days from exercise so none there. And as far as my calorie ranges not sure since we ate out both days.
Going to weigh after my workout today and before my shower. Thursday is the end of my turbo jam challenge so I'll see how I did for the last 10 days.

Hey Jules! Ok its Monday night over here. So I had 10 glasses of water today^_^ but was a little low on the calories...its just too hot here. I ate my five fruits: 2 bananas, 1 kiwi, 1 orange and some blueberries. I tried to do a real push up but its was PATHETIC!, so I did wall push ups, but I did 3 sets of 12, and the crunches were hard, but I did them, yeah for me!! I also went for a walk with Wes and even got in a quick bike ride with him around the area. Good night!! Have a great day everyone!! Mayuko

Just got back from my walk. I decided it had finally settled down enough. Of course it was still drizzling, but I guess it helped cool me down.
58 minutes (2.8 miles at 21 m/min)
I did the 2 sets of bicycle crunches this morning waiting for the storm to die (though it took me a little while to get the form right; I have no coordination, and for me that's a lot of movement to get sychronised. You should see me in a step class, too!) I plan to do the push-ups (3 sets, I do modified) later on this evening, and I"m fair worn out right now. I've been up since 5 and I've had 4 glasses of water so far. As well as about 100 calories worth of stale corn chips.
My meals are already planned out, I shouldn't have a problem getting to 1200. Well, the worst that'll happen at 1200 is severe bloating and extra cardio. Thank goodness I killed my gag reflex long ago.
So far I think I'm on track!

Good morning everyone, Thanks for putting my name on the challenge list. I'm ready to take off the lbs. I like the idea of daily challenges. It keeps the whole process somewhat fun. My starting weight is 122. I'll weigh in on Friday with the rest of you.

This was posted last night - here it is again.
MONDAY'S CHALLENGE (JULY 3):
1. Don't quit this challenge. If you've signed up, stick with us and let's help each other accomplish our goals.
2. Eat at least 5 servings of fruit. There is so much good fruit in season right now, (strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb etc.). Cut some to put in yogurt, eat a bowl of fruit for breakfast or grab a peach to put in your lunchbag.
3. Push-ups - if you can do real ones, do two sets of 10-12 reps. If you're doing the modified push-ups, do three sets of 10. See examples in the spark people fitness page - they have demonstrations.
4. crunches - try the bicycle crunches, they're great! Do this for 30 seconds, short break, then for another 30 seconds.
5. Stay within your calorie range and drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water, yes, you guessed it........this might just be a recurring daily challlenge. When I say within, I mean within the recommended allowance for your height and weight. (not above or below).
Have Fun!!

Good morning everyone,
Great to have newcomers - welcome. I've added your names to the list.
This challenge consists of a daily challenge that I will post everyday. To get a star by your name, you must complete the daily challenge. Try to do these tasks on top of your planned exercise schedule. I'll post Tuesday's challenge in a bit.
The constant rules of this challenge are: 1. Don't quit this challenge. 2. Stay within your calorie limit. 3. Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day.
Our challenge weigh-in day is Fridays.
Here's the group of our challenge members, those with stars by their names have completed the weekend challenge (which was a list of tasks to be completed 'throughout' the weekend).

Keep working everyone, it's neat that we're all working towards the same thing and we're all doing this together. I find that I'm really enjoying my new lifestyle and it is sinking in that this is it - my new way of living, of exercising, of eating and you know what? It's turning out to be pretty cool!! I'm seeing results, I'm eating well and I'm having fun!!!!

| I met challenge one. I stayed on the low end of my calories both days. Did 40 minutes on the treadmill both days. Drank 10 glasses of water both days. And yesterday, instead of going for a walk I did an hour of active playing in the yard with the kids.

I hope it isn't too late to join this challenge.
As of July 1st I had 45 minutes of elliptical at the Y, stayed within my caloric range and drank 10 glasses of water for the day.
July 2nd...35 minutes of stationary bike, 20 minutes of core pilates, was below caloric intake for the day (which I try not to do if I work out alot) but for some reason I was under today and drank 11 glasses of water.
I usually weigh on Mondays but I am at work and work nights so try not to weigh after I have worked all night so I will weigh in on Tuesday morning and post.
Thanks for the support and look forward to meeting and chatting with all of you!
7 to go!
