CHALLENGE FOR WEDNESDAY JULY 26

1. Stay within your calorie range and drink a min. of 8 glasses of water.

So far I am on a roll! I am making a nice salmon dinner with fresh veggies and a fruit salad for dessert. I am already at glass 11 water, it is hot here and it tastes good.

2. Time to re-evaluate your fitness schedule. Are you satisfied with your amout of cardio days you're getting in? With your strength training? stretching and ab work? Take a look at your program to see where you could improve it and work on doing that today.

I know I need more ab work. My goal is to do some sort of ab work everyday. It doesn't take long...just hurts. Tonight I decided to take my cardio to work. I am going to take my lunch break and instead of eating (I will do that before the break in spurts) I am going to go out to the parking lot and walk with my gym shoes on. Even if I have to clean up after. It will be a nice break from the hub bub of the floor and it will allow me to clear my mind of clutter...
3.
Back Extension - 3 sets of 10 DONE

Plank - hold for a min of 30 seconds (3 times) DONE...2 regular, 1 modified...why is it so HARD to hold up 208 lbs for crying out loud!

Seated Chair Knee Lifts - 3 sets of 10-12 DONE

4. Question: Are you going to continue with the August challenge?

are you kidding, xiomi and I are hosting it so I'm IN!

Hello !!!

I just woke up , couldn't leave my bed. Just needed those extra hours since today is my day off. But... not going to the gym today. Monday and Tuesday were holidays here in Puerto Rico and today the road is too crowded. The gym is 30min away from home. Don't like that part. So I think I'm going to do my DVD instead.

Jules = love your new pic, looks so great (I love photography). And thanks for your support for the August Challenge. We'll going to try to make it great.

Tlbeuk = Congratulations to you girl !!! Fee so great to find smaller clothes and see they fit perfectly. But hey! Remember you'll keep shopping because those sizes will keep going down.

See 'ya later alligator

Xiomi & Ginger - I think you'll be a fantastic team to lead the August Challenge!! I know it will be very motivating and from the sound of it, it's going to be tough!!! I'll be checking in when we're home.

Ginger - you're so strong to refrain from eating your home-baking! I made chocolate cupcakes with my daughter yesterday and I did have one (obviously no bonus star for me) but that's really tough.

Michelle - hope your dog is OK! (I'm terrified of snakes so I have no idea how you could have 'killed' one) My daughter starts kindergarten this September too, I'm already getting emotional about it! Good luck to Makayla. Congrats to you for your weight loss. I know you can get to the 7lbs...you can do it!!!

Lisa - no problem, I've had fun with this challenge. I lie awake some nights thinking of what to do the next day. Don't worry about the lunges, they are hard on knees, doing alternatives is fine. Hope you make the 7lbs too, that's amazing!!

Tlbeuk - you must feel awesome about your clothes being too big!!!! It's so fun to shop for smaller sizes. Sometimes I find myself saying 'woo hoo' in the changeroom when I have to go out and get a smaller size than I thought...have fun!!

THREE DAYS TO OUR FINAL weigh-in EVERYONE!!!

LAST WEEK, 15 CHALLENGERS LOGGED IN REPORTING LOSSES FOR A TOTAL OF 31.3 LBS. OUR OVERALL GROUP TOTAL SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE CHALLENGE IS 105LBS....AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!

All of you have done so well!

Good Morning all!! I have been thinking and thinking about what I am going to do for a reward for myself. My hubby is in a wedding in 2 weeks. I was going through my closet to see if I had something decent to wear. I found something to wear, tried it on and it doesn't fit, it's too big! I haven't had that happen in a LONG time. So I am going to go out shopping for a new dress to wear. I think it will end up being 2 sizes smaller, we'll have to see.

Good morning!!!
I can't sleep so I log in to see how's everybody doing.

Mpatrick1, I know what's happening. Last year my dog was in a car accident. The vet told me that he wouldn't be able to walk again. I was devastated. Went for a secon opinion and that vet told me to leave him in his Kegel for 2 weeks and he'll be walking again. And he did. The is the only "man" in my life right now. I have his pic in my sparkpage. Anyways... I know he'll be OK.

Alicia, sorry to hear about your relationship, but very happy to know you want to get on track again and keep doing your work.

Thanks to all for your OK for the August challenge. Promise to keep this going. But just a warning for all to know. I love the pushing (LOL), I like to challenge myself. So, be prepared !!!!! Don't worry, we'll not kill anybody.

Sleep well and great day tomorrow.

Mpatrick1 Hope your dog is okay.

Jules thanks for all the hard work with the challenges this month. It's made it a fun challenge. Some are very thought provoking and helps me to look at why I'm doing what I'm doing.

I didn't have time to post again yesterday. I DID meet the challenge for Monday and Tuesday. Today I ran for most of my cardio workout and went a different route to different music again. This seems to work good for me. I can tell this is getting better. would help if I would quit smoking, but that is yet another challenge that will be met after I finish this. One challenge at a time. As for the bonus for today. I would say that yes, I did feel good about everything that I ate. I had a Mc Muffin (lowest calorie item on Mc Donald's breakfast menu)and apple dippers at work, made a grilled chicken wrap with a wheat tortilla and fat free ranch sauce in it for lunch. For supper I had kidney beans and a turkey burger with a wheat bun. My snack is going to be a nectarine and some carrots.

Hi Again,

I have some good news. I have lost 2.4 pounds so far this week. I guess one of the side effects of the flu is that no matter what you do you break out in a sweat and I have made my calorie range all week but it has been the very low end. I need to lose .6 of a pound to meet the challenge of losing 7 pounds this month. I just have to watch out for the Birthday Cake Saturday.

BONUS CHALLENGE FOR TUESDAY JULY 25:

This is a bonus challenge, if you complete this task tomorrow, you'll get an extra star!

This challenge is based on a feeling - so it's important that you're honest and with this one.

1. If you 'feel good' about everything that you eat today, log in here to report it and you'll get an extra bonus star. It's something to think about for the entire day. Are you happy with all of your food choices today (all of them, not just some of them). If so.....get rewarded for that.

* I HAD 4 VEGETABLES, 2 FRUIT, 5 GRAINS, 2 PROTEINS, 3 DAIRY AND 1 FAT TABLESPOON OF LIGHT BUTTER. I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CALORIE RANGE AND MANAGED TO BE ALMOST PERFECT ON THE PIE CHART. i ALWAYS STRUGGLE TO GET ENOUGH FATS. I GUESS IT WHERE I CAN'T HAVE FATTY FRIED FOODS. I EVEN GOT MY REQUIRED AMOUNT OF fiber (ALWAYS A CHALLENGE FOR ME). LET'S SEE IF WE CAN DO IT AGAIN TOMARROW.

HI! Reporting on Tuesday July 25 - I did not meet the challenge

1. I was over my calorie limit (and I thought that black bean soup was harmless! I really tought I would be OK today) but I drank my 8 glasses of water
2. I took the stairs instead of the elevators on my way to work this morning
3. I didn't do any of the exercises, but sometimes I do them right before bedtime. Maybe that's what I'll do tonight also
4. OK - This is truly the hardest for me!!! I ate in front of the TV again, I completely forgot about this!!!
5. To reward myself, I think I will ge an extraordinary shower gel or body cream! I can never have enough of those!

*************

XIOMI: I'm very sorry to read about your family troubles. But you seem so strong and full of joy all the time, I'm sure it will eventually be best for you. I wish you the best of luck, really.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I didn't post yesturday. I sat down to post at 10:30 last night, when I noticed my dog was throwing a fit outside. When I went to check he was barking and digging at the ground. I thought he had a moth or something. Then his chain hit a pile of leaves and moved it around a snake coiled up and struck BoBo (our dog). I killed the snake, then spent the rest of the night giving BoBo (try to get him to take) Benedryl. He is doing ok today. The vet put him on antibotics and steriods. If things don't settle down around here, I'm going to lose a lot...MY MIND!

My appointment for the scope has been postponed due to the flu I can't shake. Needless to say my nerves were a mess last night and today so Mr. Ulcer is on a rampage.

Even with everything going wrong, I still managed to hang in there and complete the challenges for today and yesturday.

Bonus for today...no star for me.

I did not feel good about the choices I made. No excuses. I was stressed and it got the best of me. Had a sliver of cake and ate some crackers with cheeseball. Next time I will dip a little out on a plate instead of eating out of the trough.

I also went 30 calories over my limit because of the choices I made so I guess no star for me today.

I did make a homemade apple pie and homemade chocolate chip cookies today for the nurses at the hospital and didn't eat any of those...so that is a bonus for me in my book...LOL
