Hi Juli,
I've been posting on another group in addition to our little one here. It is called Boot Camp. There are a few people posting stats daily. Why don't you come join there? That way if you aren't able to post for a while, I won't be on here on my own.
I hope to see you there!!

Hi Juli,
Yes, you will probably need a workout map.
Yep, I have a scale. I think the part of my brain that tells me I have had enough is permanently broken. Any time I have tried to go without weighing and measuring my food, my portions get bigger and bigger and I gain weight. I love knowing exactly how much I am eating. I was using www.fitday.com to record my food before I came to SparkPeople and decided to continue using it. I can't tell you how many times I have sat down to put in my food and realized that it was over my calorie range. A few tweaks always brings me back.
Here are today's stats:
Calories: 1367 Water: 82 oz Vitamins: yes Exercise: No
L: 1/3 C dry oats, 2 eggs, 1 oz cheese, 1 T One carb Ketchup
S: 3 T ground flaxseed

You are doing so good with your food. You must have a scale. I did pretty well last night. I had a salad and three chocolate rice cakes...and did my treadmill. So, I think I got rid of the "Independence Day" bloat!! I don't think I'm smart enough to eat like you do. I just let less and try to stay away from things like pizza, mexican food, chips, etc. I went to the website you mentioned...don't you need a computer near where you're going to be working out? Mine is in my kitchen...hard floors. I should get a floor mat I guess. Have a great day....you're doing awesome!!! Juli

I am making a change in my fruit. Instead of strawberries and pineapple, I am having banana changing my calories to 1448.

I'm here....I was not a very good girl this weekend. Now I need to buckle down!!! My jeans are slightly painful today. You are doing great. It's really hard to exercise when the weather is sooooo hot I don't want to walk outside and the treadmill is too boring. I'll use my bands the rest of the week and try to do better. I have a party to go to on the 21st...and I want to wear something cute!!! ok...must focus!!

It's hard to stay on track with company around. I come from a family where entertainment ALWAYS includes eating!! I did pretty good yesterday. I did some squats and tummy crunches. You're doing a great job eating. I had a Lean Cuisine and some rice cakes yesterday....and TWO lite beers. It was sooooo hot here, I HAD to do it. I can tell my clothes are fitting better this week. Not as much "hang over" on my waist. ttyl Juli

Today was a very busy day. My husband has been on a business trip since last Friday. We don't know when he is going to be home and I'm getting a little weary of caring for my two special needs boys alone. I've had friends over for them for the last few days to try and make it a fun time for them, but it is really eating up my "alone" time. I wasn't able to work out today.
I love to weigh out my food. My ability to judge quantities of food is nonexistant. I've been weighing my food for a few years now. It really seems to be working for me.
I don't have any casserole recipes, but I can tell you a few things I am loving right now. I take oat bran, wheat germ, egg and sugar free flavored coffee syrups and make tortillas. Then I put natural Peanut Butter and polaner's all fruit on them. I used the almond syrup tonight. For some reason, it tasted like a macaroon cookie to me. Yum Yum!!
Have you tried those syrups? I love the Torani brand the best. The Davinci syrups are pretty good also. They sell those in Marshalls and T.J. Max if you have any of those stores around you. They have no calories and are sweetened with splenda. In addition to coffee, I put them in things like yogurt, ricotta cheese, etc. Tonight I took milk, coconut sugar free syrup, frozen pineapple and frozen banana and made smoothy in my blender. It was delicious!!
Well, one of my boys is calling. I better run. I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.

I did really good last night. Had a nice salad and two chocolate rice cakes. I'm not very good add weighing my food...so I just try to eat small portions of "real" foods like salads, fish, veggies and for snacks have rice cakes and Zone bar. I eat a Zone bar for breakfast every morning with my Americano. YMMMMM. I didn't exercise last night, but I walked around our property a few times. We have a couple of acres. Got too hot though, 100 degrees yesterday!!
I will check in with you everyday. I like seeing what you're eating. It helps give me ideas.
I work for a Plastic Surgeon, so I see many women (and men) who have lost large amounts of weight. We are able to help them get rid of it. They look amazing when finished.
Got any good caserole recipes??? Low cal. Juli

Hi Juli,
Yep!! I have lots of skin. I am hoping that as I tone up, some of that will disappear. But, realistically, I am accepting that it is part of growing older and letting it go. I have gone from a size 22 to a size 10 and am focusing on just enjoying my cute new clothes.
I would love to post my goals and my food each day. Here are today's goals and food:
1349 calories
Gentle Warm-up, Gentle Strength and Gentle Stretch on www.demandfitness.com
L: 3 oz lean ground beef; 7 oz salad; 2 T light dressing; 6 oz sauted onions, peppers, and mushrooms; 2 1/2 oz picante sauce
D: 2 T oat bran, 2 T wheat germ, 1 egg, 2 oz cottage cheese, 1 T polaner's all fruit, 1 T natural Peanut Butter
S: 10 oz skim milk, 6 oz frozen strawberries

Hi...thanks for responding to my post. You are doing great. Do you have a lot of excess skin? I want to lose a solid ten pounds more and get firm. My skin is not bouncing back like it used to.
My goals are: 1200-1550 per day. (I usually stay around 1200-1300) Drink lots of water. Strength train 3x per.week (bands/pilates/stretching) Cardio 2x per week. (walking)
My weak points are when I get home from work. I usually like to have a glass of wine with dinner. I know this turns straight to sugar. So.... I MUST be strong with not only what I eat, but also what I drink. I love Fresca....so maybe I'll just put that in a wine glass.
My goal for losing my first twenty pounds was a trip to Mexico. It seems like I always need some kind of reward to get me the results I want. I need to stay in shape all the time, not just for vacation time.
I made Spark People my homepage. Do you post your calorie intake everyday? This really works for me!!
I'll be "talking" to you again. Juli

Hi. My name is Juli and I have been using the Spark People site for a few months and have lost about twenty pounds. However, now that I'm in my forties...(43) I need to FIRM UP. I hope to find some buddies that can inspire me to do toning exercises and help keep me on track with my eating/drinking habits.
