Thanks for your thoughts and concerns for my family.
Wow, It looks like everyone has had some nice losses for this challenge. Unfortunately I was at 200 (up .8)today. I think Tom is coming and last week didn't help. Anyway I think that means I had a 8.8 loss for this challenge. Not the best results, but hey it still puts me closer to my goal. I plan on joining in some other challenges around the boards. Maybe I'll see you there.
Have a great day!

Laressa my thoughts are with you and your family. My mother went through this a few months ago.
Yes I think tomorrow is the last weigh in, in any case next friday I'll be in San Francisco. I'll post beginning weight and final weight for all those that are still weighing in with us.
I hope to see you all in what ever challenges we pick next!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. My brother-in-law found out he had a fast moving cancer and had to have surgery Tuesday. His wife (my sister) has some health problems as well and the stress put her right in bed. The doctors think they got all the cancer with the surgery, but he will have to have an MRI and some xrays to make sure it didn't spread. Anyway, I have been trying to help out my family and kind of forgot about me for a little while. I know I have slacked on my exercise, diet, water and posting anything, so tomorrows weigh in may be interesting. Is tomorrow our last weigh in?
Have a great day everyone. Good luck tomorrow.

Way to go Jenifer! Well I guess I need to drink a lot more water when I see my sodium is high by lunch time...
7/26
1. 1272 2. 15-20 water 3. finally back to the gym, 25 mins treadmill, 55 mins strenght class 4. at night I couldn't resist my need for a sweet carb, so I ate half of it..it was 100 cals!!
|
|
|
|
I don't know about my sodium but I try not to add salt to food if I can help it. I've been looking at high fructose corn syrup though. I found out it was in my cereal and yogurt so those will be eaten and not bought again. Bummer.
I've been eating under cals since Sunday (about 1100 cals each day) not sure if it's doing me any good I think I need to add a few more veggies to my day and help me get into 1200. I've gone to the gym 3 times this week (one day no one was there so I came home and did a jog up and down a step hill) so if I go tomorrow that's 4 days this week again! Yay!

1312cals heavy house cleaning took me most of the day and I worked up a sweat. 9 cups
I started tracking my sodium just out of curiosity a couple of weeks ago. It is suppose to be between 0 and 2400. Some days it is really low and others it goes into the 3000's and that is not counting salt I add to food. Yesterday it was 2700. The only packaged food I had was canned beans and fruit, bread, tortillas, yogurt and 1oz liver sausage. I dont see how one is suppose to or can stay below 2400 most days. I read somwhere that you should drink extra water if your sodium is high.

1. 986 cals, very low 2. 15-20 water 3. no exercise 4. I was supossed to change from stage 3 to 4, I haven't done it, I don't know if I am ready..
I am surprised how much salt I just had for lunch!!does anyone care about their salt intake?, I had like 1 tbsps of salt total, chilli powder with my cucumber and some salt, plus saltines, plus my food and it made the sodium count really high! I am surprised!

Hey girls!
Sorry I haven't posted lately, we went on a vacation for a few days, I am back to the end of the challenge and ready for the next, Jen I am up for the next challenge, I don't know my weight after 2 weeks w/o my exercise routine and the gym, I think I have been good with my eating, except for Sunday and yesterday, had lots of snacks and pizza...
Today I am back in track with my calories after 4 days and tomorrow with my exercise..way to go everybody that lost weight!!
|
|

That is a good idea Jen.
I went down to Tennessee for the weekend to visit family. I did pretty good. I drank only one soda while on the road and tons of water. I didnt get tempted by homemade bisquits and gravy and only had a little pulled pork, nothing fried.
It had been soooo hot here. I dont even have energy to sit here and track what i eat. I know I have been good though. I am definately getting in more than enough water.
|
|
|
|
| JENIFERS: That got to be motivating. Good on you and your friend for coming up with the idea. I may borrow it for one of my friends...
|
|
|
|
PS. I was getting discouraged so I talked with a friend. They agreed for every 5 pounds I lose they will give up one cigarette a day. That motivates me more than wanting to lose weight. Smoking is such a nasty habit, for yourself and everyone around you.

For today 7/24
- 1124 or so
- gym in the am, walked to school.
- 8
I have a new goal. I want to keep this post near page 1 or 2 instead of 3-6. So I'm gonna post more often. So many of us are getting so close I don't want us to give up or lose out. I'm also thinking of trying a new challenge when this one is over. Maybe something to do with water and exercise instead of losing pounds (since ultimately that is the goal...) Anyways keep the faith ladies I know you have it in you!!

I've been staying within range for my calories, leaning more towards the lower end. I get on the scale every morning just to see, and this morning it said 175 :)
I found these nutrition bars at costco, not the best tasting things on the planet but better than most. They are made with soy. Anyways they seem to help curb the snack urges (I eat one of them instead of going on a snacking rampage). I realized that I have not reached my goal yet. 5 more pounds to go. But I'll be happy with not weighing 193 :)

For Sunday I ended up with:
Cardio: 120 min walk
Crunches: 100
Water: 9 glasses
Calories: 1780 - just over I went shopping to buy some cheap clothes as everything is on special now

Hi everyone! You're all doing so great. I need some inspiration :( It's a different life here, and I'm really trying to get my calories back under control. I finally started back on my exercise routine yesterday. I'm now working out on a treadmill. Did you know that you actually burn more calories on a treadmill than ground walk/running? I believe it, too. It is MUCH harder than doing my workouts out doors. But it's also easier to track exactly how far you have gone and how fast you are going. At any rate, I HAVE to get back to tracking my calories daily and posting them here. You guys are doing so well...I have fallen so far off the bandwagon and I REALLY want to get back on the stick. I know I have said a million times that I am going to and then I don't. I've had enough of that, so I hope this time I'm back to it. And I'm ready to start the new challenge in a couple of weeks and hoping to actually stick to it this time and watch the pounds melt off! I am almost done nursing since Arielle will be a year old in a few weeks. Wow how time has flown by! I can't believe she's going to be 1????!!! However, although **I** am ready to start the weaning process, **SHE** is not. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about this. If she wants to nurse, she is just absolutely hysterical until she gets what she wants. She's starting to take a sippy cup, thank God, but it's hardly comforting to her. Oh well. We shall see. At any rate, in a couple of weeks, the caloric intake is going WAY down, and maybe the milk supply will go along with it and she'll realize there's nothing left to get and give up in the process. Here's hoping.
Keep up the good work, girls! Here's to consistency

Still 174.
Lots of cardio today: 45 min walk, 60 min aerobics, 60 min cardio at gym and 120 min cleaning with MP3 player that I was dancing away too. 9 glasses of water Lots over on my calories today AGAIN I have got to get a handle on my snacking. At least it is only in the weekend. During the week I am at the gym after work and only get home about 5.30, tea at 6.30 - 7 and bed around 8.30. No time to snack on anything except the fruit I keep with me.

Sunburns suck!
Well I weighed in at 178 which is good. I finally went to the gym four days this week! Yay! I'm so proud of myself.
I'll write in numbers tonight and check back tomorrow for anyone else weighing in.

I weighed in today at 199.2 (up.2). I seem to be stuck gaining and losing the same pound or partial pound over and over again. I must have hit a bit of a plateau. I do think I could push myself a bit more with diet and exercise though.

These last few days has been dreadful. It has been so hot and humid. We dont have AC in our apartment and the couple of fans barely makes a difference. Havent been able to do any exercise, all my energy seems drained. What makes it worse is that we went to the beach on Sun and now I look like a cooked lobster. I havent had sunburn this bad since I was a kid. I had so much fun in the water, time went by and I paid no attention to the amount of time I was spending in the sun. I havent really been hungry during this heat so I know my cals are definately at the veryyyyy low end of my range (I couldnt bother tracking anythng either) and the water intake is super high.
12 days left in this challenge wow time flew by.
